DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error
Error Code:0x887A0005(0x887A006)(6068)D
Same.
Do you have geforce overlay on? use geforce experience? Have you tried turning shadowplay off?|
Solution 2: Turn off NVIDIA Ansel
There is no official way to disable NVIDIA Ansel, which seems to be the most common culprit for this error code. Until NVIDIA or Call of Duty pushes out an update that prevents the issue from occurring, players will continue to experience Error Code 0x887a0005 in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.
Go to: c:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_d223212c0a2275b5\NvCamera\
Delete the NvCamera Folder
Search “cmd” in the Windows search bar
Run Command Prompt as Administrator
Type “NvCameraEnable.exe off” and hit Enter
Exit Command Prompt

someone else: this worked for multiple people:
"I turned off Discord overlay(Registered Games in Discord settings), fixed it immediately. Not sure if you're still having the issue but it worked for me."
This can be another fix- but despite the 150mhz recommended downclock - Just keeping 2100Mhz after boost can be recommended [my fix for this game's dx crash - singular]
5. (The most important one) Disable ray tracing and the error will be fixed. If you are experiencing the error on a non-RTX GPU, then try reducing the GPU clock by 150 MHz using MSI Afterburner to fix the error. Personally, the MSI afterburner helped me, but after 2-3 games he started going crazy and clocking things himself, so I recommend for AMD users to set up Mhz directly in AMD, I also did so and the game works without a problem! (Mine was 1560 (1560-150 = 1410) After all this, don't turn off the Afterburner/AMD, let it run in the background! After all this, the game has stopped crashing for me to error 0x887a0005! I hope this helps you!
Someone else used a different headset; due to 3rd party software for sound devices-
"You would never believe this. But I found out it was my headset causing it to crash. Some people have had it be their keyboard, mouse, or even RAM speed. It makes not logical sense but essentially you need to check everything" [fixed with different headset]
Lastly, in-game settings matching GPU control panel settings- ensure your GPU control panel has Application controlled on as many options as possible,
what do you use for Scaling/if any - FSR 2.1 has been amazing with newest nvidia studio drivers on a GTx1070 since season 2, never turning it off, unless FSR 3 arrives :) Quality, or ultra performance is great, for whatever you need it for,
They planned on having a "Pro Pack" updated tomorrow 4/19... maybe, just maybe they'll work actually fixing the game into that update. Not holding my breathe though.
sooo again for the really stupid people who think to write solutions here again and again because it would bring something. do you really think every single one of the thousands of amd users hasn't already tried it? it's still up to the game and needs to be fixed
it's just annoying if you have no idea about the issue
Speak to Activision directly then. This is steam community, if you are not willing to try for your own benefit then start testing out of the box and actually say what you did rather than some response to someone else trying to help you.
It looks like the mayority are using AMD processors, in my case I use a RYZEN 5 5600G and the integrated graphics. I hope this gets fixed soon, It has already been 5 days
Activision????? LMAO .... Activision dont give any balls ♥♥♥♥ on that problem. Your just a kid who bought an nvidia gpu from ur mumm or dad's money. This is beenox devs fault, they are all juniors developers with 0 experience in the industry. Don't even spam on this if u are not experience this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ error. Go back playing the game with ur 4090 bought from ur mum.
