🚨 WARNING: Ryzen 9 9950X3D & ROG 5090 VRAM Overload – UNPLAYABLE in Black Ops 6! 🚨
🟡 Here’s the setup 🛠️ that’s supposed to be eating up this game! 🍒

🖥️ Case: ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 Case BK
🧠 CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X3D
🎮 GPU: ROG Astral RTX 5090 32GB
💾 RAM: 96GB DDR5-6000
⚡ SSDs: 3x Samsung 980 PRO 2TB
🧊 Cooling: ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB
🖥️ Monitor: 75" Neo QLED 8K QN900C
🎧 Headset: ROG Delta S Animate
🎮 Controller: ROG Raikiri Pro
🔌 PSU: ASUS ROG Thor 1200W 80+ Platinum
⌨️ Keyboard: ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX Wireless Deluxe
🖱️ Mouse: ASUS ROG Chakram X
🔧 Mobo: ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme

💥 AND STILL?
Every time I enter a match, the CPU usage spikes like it’s trying to run the game and solve world hunger at the same time.

🕹️ Settings? Dialed down to minimal — specifically to reduce VRAM usage and try to mitigate CPU spikes.

📉 VRAM? Hard capped to under 8GB. On a 5090 with 32GB. Absolute comedy.
🎯 FPS? Locked at 120 in-game, 60 in menus.

No crashes, no tearing, no temp issues — just wild usage swings mid-game.

🛠️ Updates?
✅ Drivers: Up-to-date
✅ BIOS: Version 2904 (2025/03/07)

🗑️ If a rig like this is throwing CPU usage fits just loading into a match,
there’s something funky in the maze. 👻

200 FPS on a Xeon from 2015?! 🕰️💨 Guess it’s rocking that flux capacitor tech! ⚡ Meanwhile, my 5090 is tripping over VRAM & CPU Spikes like it’s in a haunted house 🏚️👻—spooky! 😱 #TechStruggles #VRAMWoes #OldVsNew #TechTerrors #GamingMaze
You must set the treadcount to 16 in the config file in
your doc/cod/players/s.1.0.cod24.txt0

Change the X to 16

// Thread count for handling the job queue
RendererWorkerCount@0;51989;59387 = X // -1 to 16

Save changes and close the file

This issue seems to be isolated to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 so far. It's not about temperatures; it’s more about CPU usage spiking over 100%. The game runs fine otherwise, but I’m not about to throttle my CPU to manage those spikes. Other games like Rocket League run smoothly on max settings in 4K, easily hitting 800-900 frames without any issues.

This thing’s spiking to the moon every time I enter a match.
It’s like the ghosts got into my CPU and started hosting a bonfire.

🕹️ Settings? Smashed to potato mode.
📉 VRAM? Hard capped to under 8GB. On a 5090 with 32GB. Absolute comedy.
🎯 FPS Cap? 120 FPS in-game, 60 in menus.
🤡 Doesn’t matter. Still getting CPU spikes that'd make a toaster blush.

🛠️ Updates?
✅ Drivers: All up-to-date
✅ BIOS Version: 2904 — Current Version: (2025/03/07)

🗑️ Fix your maze, devs.
This ain’t it.
If a setup this stacked can’t play your game without melting down,
you’ve got more than just ghosts in the system. 👻
serves you right for buy a stupid expensive graphics card

Mocking someone’s high-end setup isn’t clever, it’s just a sign of not understanding the purpose behind it. I built this rig with specific goals in mind: gaming, streaming, content creation, and more. Your negative comment isn’t contributing to the conversation, it’s simply noise.

I’ll try to grab some pics later, TV caps at 144Hz, so yeah… kinda wasting all those AI frames 😂 The color and clarity are unreal though. I’ve only got 542 sq ft to work with in this condo, so I carved out a streaming corner in the living room for now. Once we’re in the new place, it’s game on for the full setup: desk, high refresh monitor etc.

Yeah, it’s the case 45 lbs of pure lag-weight. The whole rig’s about 56 lbs, so it’s definitely holding things up. Lol
