When third-person mode dropped, it felt like the best thing they could have done — fresh, exciting, and way better than PUBG at that point.
Then they just ripped it out of the game without real explanation.
According to outlets like Gamerant, a lot of players were pissed and wanted it back — but Activision barely addressed it.
Meanwhile, the cheater situation spiraled out of control.
Even though Ricochet was supposed to stop it, cheating kept getting worse.
Earlygame and other sites even reported cheaters winning official tournaments, like the $100K World Series of Warzone, with barely any consequences.
At that point, the trust was completely gone.
If I wanted to play against aimbots and wallhackers, I’d fire up PUBG — but honestly? I'm done.
