It's amazing that the game ran fine for me at launch but now I can't even play it.

Horrendous isnt it
Its crazy that they cant figure this out

the directx bug comes from an application on its operating system, not from the game. I too had crashes because of corsair's ICUE software.

Go this location : Local Disk (C:) > Users > My Username > AppData > Local > Activision > Call Of Duty > crash_reports

Open the crash_reports folder, and find dxdiag_oncrash.txt. Then scroll to the very bottom under CTRL+F : Diagnostics. Scroll through all of the Problem Signature sections, and you should find what's causing the crashes somewhere in there.

Did you modify it using software like Nvidia Profile Inspector?

If you have an Nvidia graphics card

try to launch in no-fail mode
So just out of curiosity is anyone with a 9800X3D, gimping or reducing graphics settings in game, AT ALL? I was and was crashing literally every 30-45 minutes of game play. Also 9800X3D, 64Gb DDR5 6000, and 4070Ti Super. I changed two things on the config file and reset all my in game graphics back to default, played like 6 hours straight afterward and not a single crash once. I did raise my Target VRAM to 80 in game as well. The two things I changed in config was turned blood effects off "set to false" and reduced my workerthreadcount to 1 core below my physical, it was set to one above at 9 set it to 7.

After S3 I can't play either, from beta untill that point there where no problems what so ever. But now I crash as someone said every 20-40 min. Liberty Falls I can play 50min sometimes (often not) but Shattered Veil i can play 20min tops.
