Has anyone encountered this?
My GPU temp seems OK but the CPU got very hot.

Since my laptop is getting a little older now ,bought in 2021 (and maybe has dust ,wear and tear plus thermal paste maybe dried up a bit ) SO I normally use Power Saver since I find it drops both CPU and GPU temp a bit.

BUT this game still ran CPU hot even with Power saver.
In Contrast MWII and MWIII run fine temps ,especially MWIII.

SO,
I found this -
https://www.geeks3d.com/20170213/how-to-disable-intel-turbo-boost-technology-on-a-notebook/
AND it seems to work ,I made the maximum processor state 99% in Control panel as described in article.
I will test further.

i wont advise you to play this game on a laptop since the optimization is awful ,my desktop keeps crashing because of this game

It's a laptop, they're notorious for burning alive during game-play.

I have to play on my laptop -that is the only computer i use .

I think my 2 solutions nailed it though -temps are down a lot.

why don't you enable Processor Boost Mode Control in Windows this will reduce Power Consumption and Heat
you simply need to open windows registry by typing regedit in thr run command click ok then In the top bar, paste the following path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\be337238-0d82-4146-a960-4f3749d470c7
Double click Attributes Change the key from 1 to 2
now open power option plan
Click Change advanced power settings
Open Processor Power Management
Open Processor Performance Boost Mode
click on disable for both battery and plugin, no more high temps you can use other option too.

Thanks for input ,
BUT with the article I linked a similar result is achieved (96% cpu versus 100% cpu use though) using option 2.2 ,rather than option 2.4 which you suggest .
AND i dont need to change registry -
seems to me that 96% cpu is still pretty good AND I dont need to change registry (whicjh I am a little wary of in case I make a mistake).

Look at the geek article and see what you think.

here is the difference, what you did will reduce cpu bass clock speed but reg. method will avoid cpu boost/turbo speed the base clock speed will remain the same.
you can backup registry though .
