Wrongfully Banned and Stuck in Limited Matchmaking Loop - COD BO6

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my frustrating experience with COD BO6 and its automated banning system. A couple of weeks ago, I was wrongfully put into limited matchmaking by Activision's automated system. After two weeks, the ban was finally lifted. I played one Plunder match with random teammates, and we came in second place. Feeling relieved, I closed the game, went to sleep, and started it again the next day, hoping to enjoy the game without cheaters.

However, when I tried to find a Plunder match, the search went on for 10 minutes without success. This made me suspicious, so I checked my status at Activision's ban appeal page, and sure enough, I was put into limited matchmaking again.

I'm sick and tired of this. I paid $70 for the game, and I'm not cheating. I'm an average player with a 1KD, mostly playing to level up or grind the season pass. I'm not alone in this; there are thousands of other players who have been wrongfully put into limited matchmaking and are forced to play against actual cheaters.

We need to come together as a gaming community and push back against this automated banning by game developers. On top of that, they don't even have a proper support ticket system where we can appeal or ask a real human to check our cases. From reading hundreds of posts, it seems like once you're in limited matchmaking, just one report from another person can put you back into an endless loop of limited matchmaking.

Let's raise our voices and demand better from Activision. We deserve fair treatment and a proper review process!

i am playing games longer than you been alive i do not see a reason ti cheat in game i have 10K hours in many games and my steam account is worth more than few hours of pooping on someone , if you have nothing better to add just keep your mouth shut

Thinking that the anti cheat actually works how its intended is pretty hilarious bc when the game launched some of the pro players that literally have a cdl pc and get pc checked were also banned. Until it happens to you, which i sincerly hope it doesn't, you just won't understand. I'm probably just gonna have to swtich to console to avoid getting put in there. I will still play the same at the end of the day, so people who falsely report bc i play the game more than them won't have an affect on me.

limited matchmaking does not come from reports, tho im sure people have theories that it does, but legit players simply dont get matchmaking issues.

i am simply not buying a cod game from now on , streamers or pro player do get white listed but i am still in limited match making as of today

are u rly this stupid? not online? ofc it is .. am in shadowban too.. and i dont use any kinds of cheats.. played one ranked .. my mates leave .. was 2vs5 .. those 5 players were like rly bad .. i killed them bunch of times .. got reported and stuck in shadowban.. no1 is looking at my case.. or even checking if am rly using something .. htake ur head out of ur ass .. just put shadobwan cod bo 6 on yt and bunch of random ppl even pros are getting false bans ..

????????????????????????????????????????????????? wtf ur talking about .. shadoban means.. ppl reported u and ur in a limited MM .. it doesnt auto mean ur a cheater.. some1 reported u bcs thats how this stupid anticheat works and they put in a limited MM .. until *they* check if ur rly cheater or using any exploits.. right know am in a limited MM .. just bcs i was 2vs5 in a ranked play.. enemy team was rly bad.. killed them bunch of times .. got reported without any evidence, week later still waiting 4 them to review my case.. buch of pros are getting false shadowbans .. and also unbans bcs they are *representing the game *

Here's the thing right. If people were really cheating, the limited matchmaking would lead to a actual temp/permaban. The fact that they are getting out of the the limited matchmaking for a short time shows that COD's security team themselves have decided that you aren't cheating. Yet you get put right back into the limited matchmaking lobbies after a short amount of games. Point being, if these people are cheating, it wouldn't be a limited matchmaking -> normal game -> limited matchmaking loop, it would be limited matchmaking -> permaban

it was removed i started the game played 1 match and closed the game i was not put on limited matchmaking straight away but after few hours i checked and i was back on limited match making

Also go banned, but they found out that I did not cheat and did not used illegal software. Nothing found. But it seems that hackers interfering the server and the anti cheat, so it may go to the wrong person with hit and miss.

in start was only shadow ban for online and warzone but they also added campaign into my list as well

There's no facts stated hear only a messed up system were people have the power to report if your a better player than them or Evan have a better setup than them I'm in the same place now I've played since world at war never a problem I play ranked for 8 days and get shadowed banned I only play pubs don't play big maps the games a mess they need to take the report button away and put some of that billions they have made into having a better system it's 2025 and then it's a people who just think oh i don't like that play or that loss il report
