(MW3) why is the level cap 55?

i never played mw2 remake, but just saw a video where the guy was like level 900, so why is it capped in mw3? will it increase in the future?

they always make max level 55 when it comes out. they will increase it eventually

it increases with the seasons.. they do it so people dont cheese xp right out of the gate im guessing
