It's also not fun to stomp people with no competition, might as well go fight bots.
My guy if you're having fun mowing down people trying to relax after work, you're the problem, not the matchmaking. If you can't have fun in an actually competitive environment with people at your skill level, you're 1) bad and 2) a godawful misery on the hobby.
Touch grass.
Lick a ♥♥♥♥.
If you get to beat on those worse than you, it's only fair those better than you get to stomp you isn't it?
Besides, you never get better playing people far below you and will tend to improve more vs those at or above you, to me, that's a good thing, now, if the sbmm could be somewhat stable thst would be great.
Would you feel the same, if say, 20 matches in a row you found yourself at the bottom getting stomped?
Point is, why is it only the top of the boards who get to have their casual experience?
I mean, if you were that good you'd be fine playing casual and just enjoying it as you'd still be at the top, though, it would get very boring.
I say this as, perhaps slightly above average these days (age and injuries have taken their toll), but, if you were to go back 16 years to cod4, I was playing at the professional level and it got very boring playing on anything but competitive clan servers (though tbh the training got really boring also) and it definetly was not fun for randoms when any of the top guys showed up, sbmm should stop that and provide a more even playing field.
End of the day k:d or win loss doesn't matter if your not getting paid so just chill out and take daft guns for a few days, you'll drop down, you'll get to stomp with your mates, the you'll go back up,kr have 2 accounts, 1 you chill on and one you get 'serious' with.
Fine what ever, just remove those 25% of players and put them in lobbies with bots or something because they won't even know their bots to begin with. Their sitting there playing the game with their toes and sh1t and their stupid in the head and cant even competently play or understand the game.
For the other 75% however it should be non SBMM lobby creation, with post lobby creation team balancing based on SBMM. Most games with SBMM have post lobby team balancing, and do not balance and match players with other players before the lobby is created. There is a major distinction here, and why other game devs specifically point out that their SBMM is not like CoD (which is sh1t for most people).
SBMM in CoD specifically means the player never gets better, never actually does good, and on average does bad, because they only play against people who are as good as you could actually ever be. This is different from CoD in the past where there was only team balancing, which mean you could do good or bad, but more on average good the better you were, because the population of players worse than you only grows the better you are. This offers the best player experience for all players of all skill levels in a casual non ranked game mode because statistically you will be better than some of your enemies at least every single game, and vice verca.
The only way to beat SBMM is to simply not play objectives directly, dont run around around the map, have intentionally map / zone control, and have good head phones. Map control and awareness is the most important, especially now that we can see blimps on the map. Run covert sneakers and bone conducting head piece, with the flack jacket or tac mask new item names as a 3rd, if you want to wear the appropriate vest.
Ignore using the attachments you think are good or that you want. Instead be a nerd, flip on the advanced stats, and specifically look for the stats you are trying to improve. Most important.
- Aiming Idle Stability / sway
- Recoil, dependent on gun
- ADS speed
- Range / Bullet Velocity
Mod your guns individually per attachment, and make comparisons with similar attachments in different categories, not just the same category. If you you want to really mess with people, mod for Tactical Stance Spread / Recoil, ADS speed, and mobility.
If you feel like your enemies are being annoying or camping, simply don't move from spawn, they will eventually.
Big facts. Literally makes it miserable for them and myself. They are busy getting steam rolled and I am stuck trying to play like my life is on the line for a chance at winning because 4 of the 5 I play with are hot trash and are lucky to get a 1.0 kd
Besides, what makes you all think you won't be the ones being abused with no sbmm at all? The current system, with no clearly defined ranks let's everyone think they are good until they get bumped up a tier lol
I'd prefer a proper elo based system like they use in moba's atleast then you get to know where you sit and can see progress.
Though, for that to really work, there would need to be input based lobbies, but, with a game having such strong aim assist as this, no one should take it as anything more than casual.
Why? It's simple, I'd rather try and increase my skill lvl then to get compensated even though I'm still bad. If someone plays fair and square and they shoot me then they should win if his aim is better and he shouldn't need a full mag to kill me even though I need 3 bullets (for example)
This also sets a bad standard IMO because it seems like a new trend to support snowflakes you'd think? No, I believe this has everything to do with money because what they need is kids to play this game because they will buy all the skins and what not. Those kids will go back to fortnite if they don't win so this is a "good" money making system.
Just what I think, is it true? Who knows.
Besides, how hard is it to match people up roughly with their KD? It literally makes no sense to me.
