why are we still getting this error when it should have been fixed by now?

omg, twice i've had this error today and its seriously a joke. there is nothing wrong with my pc drivers or directx version. please fix this issue as it only started since season 2 launched

i aint messing with windows files when im not a tech fixer. either the devs find a solution or i wait til microsoft fixes their updates if its caused by that

Long standing known issue. Why its not been fixed? Activision/Tryarch don't care enough to.

Indeed, YOU never got the error before but for many of us its been happening since launch. Welcome to the family.

Considering the direct x error has been the same since launch. Yeah.... don't hold your breath.

You'll likely be told:
- Roll back you GPU driver
- Roll back your windows update
- Straightup downgrade your OS to win10.

You can also try adding the -dx11 launch option since you're on steam's version.

i have no idea what or how do any of that. im on an acer predator with a 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, 4070 gpu

tried rolling gpu driver but again, doesnt help. not rolling bacvk windows as i dont know how or what it'll do

has anyone tried putting vram % to max see if that helps?

what i tried today where going to the install folder of blackops 6 find the map D3D12 open it
delete the file D3D12Core.dll then close all go to steam check the intregety of the game it will take same time after it finished it willl run

that fixed the problem for me

since i changed vram and deny user account control to change settings, it been running ok apart from 2 crashes recently. they arent as frequent so it gotta be something to do with vram setting being at 90%

Strange, I am running it on a similar system but with 16gb RAM, rtx 3070 8gb and its installed on HDD and it runs. I did get an 'install to SSD' warning but it runs fine.

My son has an i7, 32gb RAM and a gtx 960ti 6gb (or970ti) and is getting this error but all other games work

hadn`t a single crash before windows update 24h2, after the update direct x crash every 10 minnutes, rolled back to windows update 23h4 no more crashes
