WHY IS THE 1911 NOT BEING ADDED TO THE GAME?

The 1911 has been in almost every call of duty game ever, up until modern warfare 2 then poof never seen again. WHY? its a great pistol and a Favourite of most people so why hasn't it been available or even a variant of it? all we keep getting is some clunky heavy POS .45 ACP pistol that has next to no bullet velocity unless made to. I understand game isn't supposed to be realistic its supposed to be fun and competitive so why not include the one pistol that's always been there and done well.

If there's some sort of legit reason like licensing or something please lemme know because the 1911 is one of my favourite weapons just because of its history and durability alone and its a shame and kinda stupid that it just dropped off the face of the COD earth.

pretty sure they just flat out gave up on doing real guns and paying for their licensing, the closest to the 1911 i've seen was the 9mm daemon which is based on the staccato 2011, which is the modern revision of the 1911.

B/c COD doesn't really care about time period accurate arsenals. They just put in whatever they want and make it somewhat grounded in reality. If you take a look at their guns, a lot of them are mixes of real world guns to create something that is unique to the game or is close to a real world counter part with the exception of a few staple guns. MW2019 and MW2022 had the most accurate representations of real world guns in recent years. I don't foresee them going back to it with the way MW2023 and BLOPS 6 is going.
