WARZONE Gun Max Level?

What are the guns max level?
I have two Assallt rifles the XM4 and the AK-74 which are currently lvl 48, I cant increase their levels beyond that.
But I have a SMG C9 that is a lvl 43, I've been using it for several hours now and it wont go past 43.
Are the guns leveling system broken?
Or do the guns themselves have their own personal leveling system....

Every weapon will tell you their max level in the menus.

ah, I see now.
Just clicked gunsmith and pulled up my optics attachments, it tells ya the level on the right.
