Call of Duty®

Call of Duty®

View Stats:
50% of the player base on steam have dipped in a month lol
Man i bet activision are starting to worry, about 2% of the playerbase per day are quitting this is now officially a quicker decline in players than Call of Duty Ghosts. The only difference back then is we had an incredible to back to, Black Ops 2. Now the only things we can go back to are MW2019, Vanguard, MW2 and MW3 which those other 3 are just clones of MW2019 to peddle warzone and MTX with rigged matchmaking. There is Cold Ware which ironically is the only CoD in the last 5 years that isnt running on the MW2019 engine and isnt a direct clone of MW2019 but its utter garbage so who the hell would wanna go back to that.

This franchise is done for theres no sign of the player base falling its officially less players playing than there was at the end of MW3's life cycle. And with the fact Call of Duty still runs in the background after quitting driving up those "Player retention" numbers the actual player count is 100% lower than whats being shown. You also have the fact that Call of Duty also includes 2 other games with multiple other submodes within them not everyone is on BO6 lol. All the gooch licker defending activision since 2019 are finally catching on to the manipulation and BS around this franchise. I really hope they start to sort theirselves out when this all blows up in their faces.

Can't wait for this years COD to release when all the gooch lickers realise its another black ops gain and its another $70 DLC. Like how MW3 was a dlc to MW2 the year before.

Not to defend this game, but a lot of people left because steam runs Warzone at half the FPS rate as all other platforms.

Way less errors especially the dreaded direct x STEAM_SHIP_ERROR.

Trash game also claims I have played 800 hours - utter bs. I have played 100 hours max of last few cods combined.

100% less than any number is 0 .. the player count is higher than 0.

maths not your strong point I guess

100% of the BO6 player bump! Not 100% of the entire player base. The end of MW3's lifecyle the peak players was 157K, then when BO6 release the player bump caused by that went up to 313K. We are now back down to 157K Concurrent peak as of January 1st thats a 100% decrease of the "Bo6 player bump" There is officially less players player now than there was at the end of MW3 life cycle. in the span of 2 months Bo6 released and has less concurrent players than it did before it released, its as if it never even released at all. Thats just so funny

I never claimed the entire playerbase left i just claimed 100% of that BO6 spike is now gone. Telling me math isnt my strong suit when reading clearly isnt yours

youre joking right. Everyone on every single form of social media was covering in great detail every day of 1 week long event the player base never went up by so much as a single percent, it still only declined. Go on steam charts, and look for the last 60 days of cod its only losing players, not a single day during that 1 week event did it gain a player. it only continued to lose players at a rate of 1-1.5% per day we are now at a rate of about 2% per day now.

Not to call you stupid, but that argument is a strawman. The FPS problem was known since launch. So you are telling me people stuck around for 2 months just to drop it now because of FPS?

Stop the cap.
MW3 despite being the cash grab it was, the game felt infinitely more fair and actually had stuff to do and unlock that wasn't mastery camos.

BO6's maps are also by far the worst in the series, not just Black Ops games but COD overall, and it feels like everything is driven purely by algorithms.

The game is nothing but a glorified camo grinding simulator. Once people unlock the mastery camo they just quite playing, or try to unlock one of the others, nobody seems to actually want to play the game for the game itself. My friend was hardly playing the game, because he thought it was pretty meh, but since he started going for Diamond or whatever, he's been addicted. It's actually disgusting what this game does to people.

At least MW3 wasn't full of AI artwork and voice acting. It felt like 50-50 good and bad matches, whereas BO6 feels 10-90 good to bad in my experience. You can't really get good if it's forever giving you players more than twice your skill level.

The entire game peak on Steam:
BO2 - 18,000
Infinite Warfare - 15,000 players.
Advacned Warefare - 12,000 players.
Black Ops III - 62,000 players.
MWII - 491,670 players.
BO6 - 315,000 players.

Steam is much more popular today that it used to be. Many BO6 players are moving to battle.net or gamepass.
Considering BO6 is one of the worst CODs of all time, the servers and netcode is broken, it just shows how passionate players are about COD that they put up with this. They will buy the game next year.

Game does not run in background. Crash handler and anti-cheat are closed when game is not running.

MW3 was not a cash grab. Or let me rephrase that, stop pretending like all the other COD's aren't cash grabs.

The 1 year cycle alone makes it a cash grab.

MW3 did so many things right, especially transferring over old cosmetics from MW2. It's literally all on the same bs engine, same for BO6.

The fact people said MW3 was DLC while not saying the same about MW2 is just beyond stupid.
I refunded due to DirectX Error. that never got fixed. Also this game now has pink haired female soldiers with nose rings?

Guys, if you want to save this game, just stop playing for a while and stop spending money, and you will see how good it could be.
Also, we can dive into the popularity of the game based on data from streamers, using data from Twitch as an example.

https://streamscharts.com/games/call-of-duty-warzone/statistics
https://streamscharts.com/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-6/statistics

https://twitchtracker.com/games/512710
https://twitchtracker.com/games/1672324422

And now imagine that the game, which became the most successful launch in the history of the franchise, setting records for the number of players in the first days after release, is being watched by only 15-16 thousand viewers per day on Twitch.

Anyway, true numbers don't lie.

MW2 and MW§ are both very good alternatives to BO6. I think you can go back even further. Sometimes I'm still playing BO3 :eliselaugh:
