Question about Vault Edition + Game Pass
I am hoping someone can answer my question.

I am currently playing Bo6 via Gamepass. Due to some Geo-location BS, Microsoft doesn't want to take my money and let me do the Vault Ed Upgrade Via Xbox store. I was thinking of doing the following and wanted to know if it is plausible.

I was planning on buying Bo6 via Steam, Purchasing the Vault Ed Upgrade separately, downloading and launching the game via steam to get my purchase active on my account (I have seen that if you buy non-platform specific content, it links to your Activision acc and can be used on any launcher/version of Bo6).

Once I can see the content in the Xbox version of the game, I would like to refund the Bo6 base game, keep the Vault Ed Upgrade DLC, and ideally be able to use the content I paid for using the XBox version.

Is this possible? I would rather continue using the XBox version and use the base game refund to purchase some other games during the Winter Sale.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

if you buy the vault edition ON STEAM then make sure steam is linked to your main activision account and then get on the game, you will get the unlocks yes. It will stick to that account, I remember getting a pre order camo for MW3 from my gamepass version of the game, then i went to play the actual game on steam and i still had the skin.

PSA: You have to make sure that if you buy the game on steam, you also have to buy the vault edition upgrade on the same platform. I just recommend you get the vault edition of the game and then refund after logging on and confirm the rewards.
