BO6 STEAM PERFORMANCE FIX (Windows 11)
I've been digging around for DAYS looking for something to help, I've even gone to the lengths of reinstalling windows and absolutely nothing changed then I stumbled upon a Microsoft forums post about disabling HPET and IT ACTUALLY HELPED AND FIXED ALL OF THE MENU STUTTERING AND ALL OF THE IN GAME PERFORMANCE DROPS

before I was getting ~90 to 110 and the frame gen for FSR wasn't helping hardly AT ALL but I disabled HPET and not only has my framerate doubled but the god forsaken create-a-class lag is gone!

my friend and I tested it in Marvel Rivals as well and It helped my performance there too quite a bit if there is anyone out there also playing it!

But here are the steps that I took:

>Make sure to Run command prompt as Administrator then type "bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock" (but without the quotes) then press enter.

>Then go to device manager on windows (you can right click on the start button to find it), go under the section "system devices" and right click the high precision event time and disable the driver.

>after that just reboot your PC and try it out for yourself!

if you would like to turn it back on though for some reason just reopen command prompt and type "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true" (again without the quotes) and re-enable the HPET in device manager!

That value doesn't exist by default, so if you had to delete it, you had added it. You caused the issue for yourself.

Disabling HPET in device manager doesn't do anything as it runs through other processes, the only true way to disable it is if your BIOS lets you (which most don't anymore).

I have zero issues but feel for those who do. I feel like this is completely un-needed. Then again, I have a $11k CAD pc.

You rly spent $7000 USD on a computer? How? Even with all the best parts how can you even go above $4k?
