Sadly as has been posted we who don't give a toss about MP have to pay for the whole pile.
There of course are obvious reasons... because they can get away with it...
I think they've added option to download only selected "modules" eventually. At least on PC.
But I fully agree - it would be great to have possibility to purchase only the single player content (and in the same manner - only the multiplayer content) - with option to upgrade it later.
I'm not interested in the MP as long as there no option disable all the weird flashy skins that people use (disable on my end of course).
cod sp hasn't been good in like a decade
So you don't have to buy it. You're welcome.
Like I say, fundamentally fair enough if that's your thing but I hope you don't pay full price for it.
I get that point about the flashy skins. Sci fi guns, Snoop Dogg, superheroes etc.
Vanguard multiplayer was an incoherent mess with regards to operators, supposedly set in WW2 but completely pissed on the history of WW2 by not actually representing a vast amount of the people who fought and died in it. Why bother with a historical setting? I totally understand the need for representation and diversity games - and that's fine, but do it in a modern or futuristic setting! And be even handed with it - diversity doesn't mean omission of the majority.
Anyway, political rant over. Silly skins are to lure in 13 year olds who are excluded from the game on account of age anyway (remember?). Save them for Fortnite.
The point is NOT to have to pay the full price if you don't buy the full game. Isn't this obvious?
Well, let them run with their pink guns. Just don't ruin my game by forcing me to see this.
activision ain't gonna let you buy piece-meal
I understand that this is how it is right now. I'm talking how it should, well at least how I'd like it too be (OP too I guess).
R* did it (sort of). You can buy only Red Dead Online for less without buying the whole game (SP content).
And btw Activision is not in charge anymore. Big boys are dealing the cards now.
They still are and will be until the deal actually goes through.
ms couldn't care less about whether they sell it one way or the other
