Banned on the Beta???

I just got a notification that I was banned on MW2's BETA??? What in the world?! I played ONE game since March and it was a private match with friends. I contacted Activision support, obviously, and it won't be removed. Some automated message. What do I do? I could care less if I don't get to play that trash game ever again in my life... but I would prefer not to have that stain on my profile because of Activision's terrible management.

Make a new profile? Seriously, it's a root kit Anti cheat, you don't need the software running while you play to get a ban private match or not. I'm guessing it won't be removed because it's not a mistake.

Really not sure what your asking here as if you honestly don't have cheats installed on your pc then take legal action. I doubt that's an option due to the ToS you agree to and the root AntiCheat installed on your pc sending the info Activision needs to wipe the court room floor with you.

Why would I make a new profile? I don't even care for the game and don't care to play it anymore. I was just asking for an avenue to contact Steam or some sort of support. If you've never been falsely banned or shadowbanned on Call of Duty, then you simply don't know. I was banned on the BETA. How is that NOT a mistake? I play Valorant and haven't been banned on that... and it's Kernel level. My PC is clean. Make it make sense.

Had the same problem, you can look it on my profile, got banned 1 day before mw2 release for some reason, got it refunded, then after 2 months they unbanned me in game, but steam still says i'm banned

that number would be 100 times higher if they would actualy bann console players too and not just pc players

I suppose. Even though I haven't even touched online in over 3 months. Not sure how the anti-cheat works. I do have iWX4 downloaded. Maybe it picked up on that? Who knows.

You said you didn't want the ban on your profile and that will most likely be the only way to have a ban free profile, has nothing to do with you liking or dis liking CoD.

Correct me if I'm wrong but CoD and Valorant have 2 different anti cheat systems.

You are banned, you know why but you won't admit that it regardless of what anyone says.
That's it really, it's over. No point discussing it because you have lost the account.

That's it really, it's over. No point discussing it because you have lost the account.

Except last time I "knew why," I was unbanned after calling and having them check my gameplay. I was flagged because a whole warzone lobby reported me after dropping 35. Then I was banned the next day. Called Activision, had them check gameplay and even my recordings of that game, and they unbanned me. Took weeks of calling. I just don't have that kind of energy anymore. MW2 is god awful and I simple just want the ban taken off my Steam. I uninstalled after playing the private match with friends. The only reason I knew I was banned was because of a steam notification lmao. Paid for college with MW3 and BO2 LAN. And that's IF it was for cheats. I haven't even got an answer as to WHY I was banned. Could be my username for all I know considering I was always getting notifications about "username blah blah blah" in game.

Could be that I loaded up IWX4 the other day, not realizing it was struck down by Activision also.

Now is anybody going to be helpful? lol
