Citadelle De Morts save feature

Why is the save feature for solo so bad for citadelle; everytime I reload into the match, all the swords have lost their charge, I have lost all the ritual items, pages, the mystical orb AND the guardian key; I have to save and quit bc the game bugged and wouldn't send me to the boss fight nor would any zombies spawn, now I have to redo the most annoying part of the easter?

cus it did it all in one wave and to save that progress you have to complete a wave so it saves, if you do half the easter and "save and quit" it will not save any progress

I had completed all incants on wave 23, then did all traps over waves 24-26 and then spawned in the orb and did that step on waves 27-28. I finally got the key on wave 29, went to start the boss fight on wave 31 once I was prepped, so it can't be that I did it all in one wave bc I literally didn't
