SBMM needs to go, “little” rant

SBMM = Skill Based Match Making
For those that don’t know about it.

Anyways here we go, little rant bear with me.

Remember those days u just connected to lobbies based on your network speed and the game just balanced out people on teams evenly?

Now u just have 1 great round and the game puts you in a lobby with people that have insane mouse accuracy or people who know how to abuse their controller aim assist for several rounds where u get absolutely ♥♥♥♥ on.

It’s fine to encounter good players now and then, it doesn’t bother me.
They implemented SBMM to make players feel good about their games but it does the exact opposite.
Instead of a nice chill few rounds u gotta sweat your ass off and change your underwear every 2 rounds cuz your balls were dripping.

Mad funny but also quite sad it has come to this.
Just bring us the nice classic old lobbies back based on our connections and balance the KD players out evenly.
I don’t think anyone minds the occasional games of you encountering 1-2 good players in it.
But 11 shiny rare chaderinos slapping my booty harder than my moms slippers back in the 80’s oof hell nah.

Dear Activision, your players are dropping down in mp harder than your beloved warzone players.
Hear the community out, if you don’t like what we propose, at least try to compromise with 1 thing meet us in the middle.
Or give us a statement on some issues people have and what u plan for it in the future.
Silence is never a good thing.

Everybody knows at this point that almost everything in COD games in manipulated. It's not going to change for better, they will manipulate you to maximize their profits.

I'm pretty sure BO2 had a form of SBMM/balance. Maybe not that crazy, but it had a bit 'cuz I was a 2.5+ k/d player and I'd always get at least one other high stat player in my lobby. Back when you could see stats from the lobby that is..

That is interested to know, but it definitely isn't as oppressive as it is now. Even back on BO2 you have the infamous message of the day telling people to take it easy on Christmas noobs.

Did you even fully read the link? This implies things have changed since then.

The fact that a lot of good players who are known for having 2.5 + k/ds throughout past CoDs are struggling to get a 2 this game is all the proof you need. ImMarksman is a 3 k/d player in every cod. This game he has barely a 2 but started out with below a 2.

Most my friends who are also high stats players were struggling as well myself included. I had a 1.3 k/d and most my friends who are 2.7+ were a 1.5 k/d.

Yeah, this right here. It's not even doing what they intended. I totally wish I were put with people at my skill level, but that's not what it's doing, at all. I'll get put with people at my skill level maybe 1/10 games. Otherwise I'm consistently bottom 2 of the scoreboard.

The game just pisses me off, I don't even play anymore. It ain't gonna get better either. Everything this game does is the antithesis of fun. And the maps are such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eyesore because it's basically all the same WZ map. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ greedy bastards.

Ya that's not being oppressive, its simply doing what its supposed to do and ensuring you're matched with people in your skill range. I'm not seeing the problem.

The problem has been brought up many times. If you choose to selective read things then that's entirely onto you.

Not to mention that SBMM gets to the point where it favors, "fair gameplay" over ping priority in past games. Which is also a huge frustration for no pay off.

Also I fail to see how this is ensuring I'm in my skill range for maximum fun potential for all players. This is just me either barely winning, or barely losing due to a bad team 'cuz SBMM/EOMM gives GOOD players bad teammates against players with a basic understanding on how to play the game.

If that's how you see it then you seem a bit disconnected from reality, but pop off king. You do you.




I'm still demolishing people and not having fun 'cuz my teammates are the bots and it's not fun losing games while carrying THAT hard because the system wants to punish good players with bad teammates instead of a full 6 v 6 fair match where everyone is equal. With that then resulting in the enemy team trash talking me 'cuz we lost.. Let's reward bad players and punish good ones.

If you're going to force an imaginary rank system on to people then give me a proper rank mode. Which yes, it is coming apparently but we'll see how good THAT plays out given how rank in past cods has been a joke.
