The only weapon in my Melee class is a riot shield?

I find this weird, so I have two questions:

1) How do we use a shield as a weapon? Aka, how do I get kills with this thing, and level it up?

2) Shouldn't I have a combat knife in here somewhere?

1) You punch people in the face with your shield. You can also use throwing knifes, it should count.

2) You're looking at primary melee weapons, combat knife is in secondary melee slot. If you have 2 primary slots, remove Overkill perk.

If you own MW2, you don't even need to kill people in order to quickly level up the riot shield. Shipment, "exp" kit and 10 minutes of your time will do the trick.

I heard it got nerf'd but before the riot shield was kind of annoyign to deal with. You just kind have to troll with it to get kills. Most the time I see people head into SnD, camp a corner and wait until they get close.

yea shields are useless now "thank god" they need to hit you ALOT now, and trowing a knife from behind that shield is not instant anymore it takes a longer time...

get wrecked shield noobs. =D
