But why should I have to do that? Why does the rpg take so many shots to bring down a killstreak when a lock on can do it in 2-3 shots
they are not meant for blowing things up, they're meant for penetrating armor and blowing plasma into the hull.
^that's what they're meant for in real life anyway.
but that's also why the devs made it into a nerf cannon, it's not some grenade launcher that creates an aoe effect that kills everything in the radius, the way rpgs explode is forward and in a pin like manner, so they suck at actually being used the way you want them to be used.
a chopper 1 to 2 rpgs at most and booooooom
tanks depending on where hit are mostly 1 shot buy these weapons as well
but it's a game
unless you use the HE rockets for it. Then you have your AOE effect, what i guess they use ingame as it isnt the tandem rocket.
May that also be a reason for it to take something down takes 5 shots.
that's another thing that was introduced by games.
RPGs are specifically designed to take out the operators within armor, there is no HE round for it. lmao wut
i mean, if you want high explosives on target there are way better ways to send them than a non guided rocket launcher that was only ever intended to take out infantry within armor.
google HE rpg rockets, nothing will come up because they don't exist outside of video games.
and to clarify, high explosive devices are meant usually for show more than anything.
the reality is that fragments are used more in these types of payloads than high explosive ordinance, and that's because highly explosive ordinance is usually super unstable.
hence why there is no such thing as a HE RPG
