Ive been getting the same thing constantly too

it´s getting really annoying, I don´t have any crashes with the game itself but steam losing connection all the time, it´s bad.

if steam can´t provide stable connections then they should just decouple steam from the game, I mean once we are logged in with the game servers why it´s so important if steam is connected or not, just decouple it ffs.

The game runs on activision servers anyway so I don´t see why it´s so important to have steam connected all the time if it´s causing continuous extra troubles.

I regret buying this on steam.

I get the same today, and can not login anymore too. Buying this on steam was a terrible mistake, their potato infrastructure can't handle the demand. I play every day with my workmates, I am the only one on steam. I get disconnected often, none of them do.

Servers are down they are checking as we speak. Probably needs a reset. No worries. Check ACTIVISION SERVER STATUS.

It's because steam has maintenance every tuesday around this time, it sucks but it is what it is, just avoid playing it at this time on a tuesday or rebuy on battle.net

Steam has been disconnecting COD players during maintenance since 2009. imagine being this new.

A game that runs off company servers shouldnt' piggy back on the availability of Steam being "Up". Let alone a launcher like BNet. As longa s you have an internet connection, you should be able to pay on their servers. We have cross play ffs. Implying they run off Activision servers in the first place. This is kind of ridiculous. Especially to tell somebody who might only be abl eto play at this time to just work around Steams ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weekly update

Absolutely right... whether I can connect to steam or not matters zero to me, go straight to the online server....

The user above who said go to google and type ACTIVISION SERVER STATUS has it figured out, top link, tells you what you need to know.

it's a nightmare, has been happening since release and really makes me regret buying it on steam. No word of any effort to fix this issue in any way shape or form either.

This is not from steam Tuesday Maintenance, This problem has been happening to me non-stop since the patch dropped. I will NEVER buy an Activision product on Steam again, the two don't seem to be able to play well together.

There is no reason for a game using Activision backend to piggyback on steam connection. And no matter that it has been disconnecting since 2009 - it's 2022, we have network redundancy, and loadbalancers so the customer won't even notice a change in progress. Unless someone is running a company with 2009 mindset (back then loadbalancer was not a new concept either...)

For whatever it's worth, the problem is worse for me on BNet. I can't even finish a match on Battle.net without getting disconnected. Steam is marginally better - I've only been disconnected from the main menu so far.
