BO7 / Ricochet Attestation Failure on Ryzen 5 2600 + B450 – Could AMD fTPM 3.8.0.3 Be the Cause?
I'm trying to figure out whether my issue is caused by my TPM firmware version or something else.

Current system:

Ryzen 5 2600 (Pinnacle Ridge)
ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING
BIOS 4645 (latest available for my board)
Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26200.8655)
TPM 2.0 enabled
Secure Boot enabled
UEFI boot
VBS / Memory Integrity enabled

TPM details:

Manufacturer: AMD
AMD fTPM
Firmware version: 3.8.0.3

BO7 / COD HQ reports:

BIOS Firmware Update Required
Failed Attestation Status Applied

I've already verified:

TPM is enabled and healthy
Secure Boot is ON
PK and KEK keys are installed
PCR7 is bound
Device Guard and HVCI are running

So far I haven't found any actual BIOS or Secure Boot problems.

My question is:

Has anyone with a B450 motherboard upgraded from a Ryzen 2000 CPU to a Ryzen 5000 CPU and seen their AMD fTPM version change from 3.8.0.3 to something newer (such as 3.x.2.x or 6.x.x.x)?

If you have a B450 board and a Ryzen 5000 CPU, could you check:

Your motherboard model
Your CPU
Your AMD fTPM firmware version (from TPM Management or Get-Tpm)
Whether BO7 / Warzone attestation works correctly

I'm trying to determine whether a CPU upgrade (e.g. Ryzen 5 5600 / 5700X / 5800X3D) would resolve this, or if the TPM firmware version is tied entirely to the motherboard BIOS and I'd need a platform upgrade.

I'm asking this before committing to a major hardware upgrade. If a Ryzen 5000 CPU upgrade on my existing B450 motherboard is enough to move me off AMD fTPM 3.8.0.3 and restore proper attestation, I'd rather do that than replace my entire platform. Any firsthand experience from users who have gone from a Ryzen 2000-series CPU to a Ryzen 5000-series CPU on a B450 board would be extremely helpful.

Any data points would be appreciated.

Ryzen 5 2600 does not work. (AMD either can't or will not release update for these CPUs)

Must be 3rd gen or higher. When you put in a new CPU, the version number updates to higher version. (yes I have tried it)

I have an MSI B550-A PRO motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 5 5500, and this is what worked for me:(Yeah, I don't know exactly the same thing, but it's worth a try)

If you've already updated your BIOS and it still isn't working, try the following: Delete these files:
codCrashHandler.exe
cod.exe
CODBrokerService.exe
CODBrokerInstaller.exe
codCrashHandler.exe
bootstrapper.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ <---Path
And make sure the game is on an SSD <------

Then repair the game files. Restart your PC and disconnect all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse until the PC has booted up.
And reset your firewall

thanks for help bro i tried all of that and still , anyway its most likely the CPU Gen
clean windows install worked for me
Ive just updated my bios to the 2020 version could update to a 2022 version but the error is still here i have a 7th gen intel cpu is thats whats causing the problem?
ya this is stupid. tmp 2.0 intel 12700 uefi fully up to date core isolation on tmp verified ready failing attestation wtf
honestly playing another game at this point lol
i have a Alienware 2024 bios and the cod games doesn't work. how long this problem happened? i haven't played warzone since September 2025
Ik surely they fix their issue with an update.
Hey so sim trying to play black ops 7 and the same error comes up, I just down the deck secure boot to enable secure boot, but the *failed attestation* Error is coming up
Ryzen 7 2700 here. As i figured out we've got 3 options! : 1) wait for the update (devs will fix this or just lower the requirements of tpm version, but anyway i was able to play every mode except ranked before the update), 2) upgrade the cpu to the new generation, 3) just to buy a standalone TPM for our motherboard

i hope they just lower their FTPM version requirements
My friend also uses a third party antivirus and it suddenly started blocking these two required services after the COD update:

CODBrokerInstaller.exe and CODBrokerService.exe

be sure if you are using any third party antivirus you are allowing these to be white listed for your system. Once we updated bios and discovered his AV was blocking, we white listed them and the game launched.

he is using an asus prime b450M board and 3700x AMD processor.
