Doesn't really do much, the fix was initially for large player maps because it ate into CPU cycles (like warzone). BO6 is based on MW2 engine and not MW3 engine which is why there are so many issues. Basically all the fixes MW3 got are missing. The netcode is abysmal.
I've done some recent tests (last week) between PCGamePass version of warzone and Steam. A few months ago the performance difference was abysmal, the problem mas evidently bad.
After a few tests I can confirm that FOR ME and FOR MY SYSTEM the performance is now ON PAR on both versions. Runs almost the same without any problems, stutters or anything like that.
Im pretty sure some time ago (don't know when) they silently fixed it because they never really acknowledged, not publicly that is.
You are welcome to conduct your own tests on your on PC's as Warzone does not need GamePass sub to be downloaded and played there so there's really no pretext to not test it out.
Yeah the problem was super obvious but them seem to have fixed it. Try it out, run some tests on steam then download and run PCGP Warzone and compare.
Good luck!
