Falsely Banned – Need Advice/Help!"
Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out to the community because I’m in a tough spot and could really use some advice. I’ve been playing Call of Duty casually for years, mainly sticking to Zombies mode, and recently, I was permanently banned after the latest season launched.

Here’s the thing: I’ve never cheated or modified game files in any way. After doing some research, I discovered that the ban was likely triggered by Hyper-V, or NZXT CAM, a software I use to manage my PC’s cooling system. Apparently, Activision’s anti-cheat system flagged it as suspicious, which is insane considering it’s a legitimate and widely-used app.

I appealed the ban, explained everything, but Activision reviewed my case and their decision is final. So now I’ve lost access to my account, which includes multiple purchased games and over 5200 COD points, all because of their faulty detection system.

I was lucky to get a refund for my Black Ops 6 preorder, but I’m still out on everything else. Has anyone else had a similar experience with false bans ? Does anyone know if there’s a way to escalate this further or get in touch with Activision directly? I’m feeling really frustrated and could use any help or advice the community can offer.

Thanks in advance!

Guys. Great news. I got unbanned. I told you it was technical error. Don't forget to put 2FA on your accounts. I apologize for being rude when I was frustrated and wrongly accused. I love COD. I love Activision. I love Treyarch.

"Your In-Game Ban in Call of Duty® has been removed.
We've removed the incorrectly applied In-Game Ban on behalf of the Call of Duty® team. For any questions about this ban, please refer to Call of Duty® Support.
Please see our In-Game Ban Article for more information about how In-Game Bans are applied."

congrats on not being a cheater d00d.

Unless you become a media personality, the chances of getting a wrong ban lifted are extremely small, unless an adequate employee notices your problem.

Their loyalty policy works until you post about the ban - then they immediately change their attitude towards the customer, even if the error is on their side.

So be happy that you managed to make a refund for Black Ops 6, and say goodbye to your Activision account. That's a fact you'll have to live with.

Their tech support is staffed by people who don't understand what help is in a situation where they made a mistake. No one will read what you write, and just close all tickets.

I myself have been fighting with them for several years, and I have an open ticket with an attempt to remove the game ban in MWR. They don't want to remove it, and at the same time they say that I'm not blocked. According to them only Steam will help me, which is a lie.

"Hi Roman.

Thank you for getting back to us. This is Nina with Activision Support. It may seem that your concern has not been resolved yet. Let me see what I can do here on my end.

Upon checking on your Activision account it currently shows that there are no restrictions or active enforcements that should prevent you from playing. However, I took the time to look into the case number you have provided and the enforcement that you have received was from Steam.

It is best that you get in touch with them as they are the ones who placed that restriction on your account. I can confirm that on Activision side, your account has no active enforcement.

Looking forward to your understanding on this and thanks for contacting Activision Support. If you need help with anything else in the future please do not hesitate to reach out to us again."

P.S.
I also have a second account on which regularly comes Shadow Ban after several reports. Attempts to throw video recordings of those games do not lead to anything. But the main account with the same gameplay is not blocked. I am an honest player there. In general, complete lawlessness on their part.

I am sorry to hear that. When I got the email from support that my appeal was rejected and their decision is final, I decided to go public. They don't have a live chat where I can explain things.

I have KD averaging around 1.6 in Battlefied 3, Battlefied 4, Rainbow Six Siege (ranked) and also in MW3. Wait, MW2 KD was bad, 1.2.
I don't think I got reported, cause I rarely play PvP in MW3. Nope, banned for life for enjoying Zombies without any glitches or hacks.

I like to think if I was going to cheat in a video game, I would be smart enough to change my username before making multiple posts to cheat websites.

Because if i didn't, and then I came to the Steam forums and accused the developers of lying, and being falsely banned, I would look like a fool.

Just saying.

And before making loud statements, you can study the site and the user’s posts + the entire topic of the resource.

A lot of interesting information will be revealed. So, by the way, so as not to be made a fool.

KD does not matter if cheats were used or the system saw suspicious software. You can write to support, but the chances are low. Even if they made a mistake, 99.9% of the time the ban will not be lifted.

P.S. My average KD is 1.2-5, and at the same time I manage to get Shadow bans on my second account. Players believe that a person who has a new account, but plays well, automatically becomes a cheater and receives a report for it.

Is this a random bot making a quote ? I don't get it. I never engage in any forums and this is like my first public post in a long while.

And to quote Activision,

"Your appeal has been reviewed and we've confirmed with our security team that your account has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. As you were the account holder at the time of infraction, your ban will not be overturned."

They admit it was NZXT CAM software, cause I only have Steam, AMD chipset and display drivers, and NZXT CAM, which is necessary to keep my 5800X3D cool. Kraken X73 does not work at full capacity unless you run NZXT CAM. Such a shame.

People be reporting everyone who owns them in a lobby.

Most likely he found me on a previously popular forum for the CoD series. The admin there was also selling cheats. But why bother if you can blame people?

If you are sure that the ban is for this software, then you can block yourself from a new account in WZ while recording a video. But no one will guarantee that your hardware will not be banned, and the issue will begin to be considered.

That is exactly what I was thinking. They might have banned my hardware. And I am not going to change my 5800X3D or RX 6800 in a while. So, buying Black Ops 6 will be risky too.
I never played WZ since Warzone 2 came. I just liked playing Zombies in MW3 since I had no friends to play casual with. Random matchmaking are so hard.

ok I agree that's probably not why he got banned, BUT you didn't even read it. It's not a webcam genius, it's a monitoring app used to manage your pc basically.:captainclown:

These posts are hilarious given the amount of cheaters in COD now. "OH NO NOT ME". Yes you.
