Black Ops 6 Beta Crash Fix
Hello, everyone. After some research, experimentation, and other efforts, I have finally found what appears to have fixed my Black Ops 6 Beta Crash issues when loading from the main menu of Call of Duty HQ.

To keep it simple, I unchecked all the DLCs except for ones pertaining to BO6 in the Steam Library under "Call of Duty", and checked the box for "Disable full screen optimizations" in the properties > compatibility tab of the BO6 Beta .exe. Posted below will be detailed instructions as to how I found both of those. Hope this works for you guys too!

*Unchecking all DLCs*

Open Steam > Go to "Library" > Click "Call of Duty" > Scroll down and to the right, then click
"Manage My (x amount) DLCs" > Uncheck all DLCs aside from BO6 > Close Tab > Load Call of Duty

*Change BO6 Beta Application Properties*

Open Steam > Go to "Library" > Right Click "Call of Duty" > Hover over "Manage" > Select "Browse Files" > Select Folder "Mp24" (File location for BO6) > Scroll down to "mp24-cod" (BO6 .exe) > Right Click "Properties" > Click "Compatibility" > Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations" > Apply > Ok

Run Call of Duty through Steam, Select BO6 Beta @ main menu, should now load. If this works for you, please reply here so the thread may stay active and others can fix their game too!

I tried so many things, in my case game just close without any error after launching bo6, but
checking windows event viewer > application logs; it shows cod.exe error with d3d12.dll

Ran DDU: didn't work
Upgraded from win10 to win11: same
Download and repaired vcredist_x64
Updated directx: dxwebsetup
Ran dotnetfx30SP1setup
Game location: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ
set cod.exe disable fullscreen optimization
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ\mp24
set mp24-cod.exe disable fullscreen optimization
open Call of Duty HQ, set everything on low, disabled DLSS, lower resolution (mine was 3440x1440) and finally, the blackscreen gone and BO6 is launching with the popup to try safe mode (I tried normal and it worked) - its working for me after a lot of steps

not sure if it helps

neither of the fixes mentioned here worked for me

The only way it worked for me was if I completely reset my pc and downloaded COD again. Pretty sure some third-party software kept crashing it.
sadly didn't work for me.

Fix for crash when joining multiplayer (found on reddit) worked for me (Replace C: with the drive you have it installed on:
"Browse to the games files and delete the cod24_*.dcache files that are in the "main" folder, for me they were in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ\mp24\main" folder. These files will be generated again when you launch the game"

Just FYI, my client crashed after a match ended, then afterwards i was unable to join multiplayer, as it would crash each time retrieving profile information.

What a legend, this worked for the xbox launcher as well - located in Content though
<path>\Call of Duty\Content\mp24\main
