Activision needs to get AI in check
Well just a few weeks ago I get hit with a chat ban 14 days no warning. The only thing I can think of I had told a play to get off their ♥♥♥♥ and stop trapping us behind him as he lays in the doorway of the container in shipment. Well my 14 days was a up a few days ago and finally get a chance to play again. Sure enough a few matches in just making call outs and confirming others calls. The next thing I know a match starts and that lovely message on the side pops up chat disabled and I check my notifications and behold a 30 day chat ban. What is the criteria that the AI is basing off of. I stayed within TOS and COC I've read what is supposed to be monitored and stayed within the guidelines as far as I can tell but those guidelines are vague and open-ended for their ability to change them as see fit. I even dove as far as I could into ToxMod their AI voice system but yet again no real good info. I will say I'm a aggressive player I'm fast and get a lot of flack especially playing along side a few good teammates. With that comes brief moments of me making calls that might be sound like I'm getting short with other players but I have made no threats nor shown any sexism, racism, I've not even made fun of a bad player (with exception of real life friends and that rib poking was done in discord not game chat). I don't know what is expected of us but it's pointless to try and play this M-rated multiplayer game without communication. It's bad enough since they implemented streaming textures with the packet bursts and lately the ping in our area has been 130ms plus going up against people with sub 10ms. Sorry for a bit of a rant but I'm sure that I can't be the only one.

Rightly or wrongly the chat filter is very sensitive - any swear word may get you temporarily banned. Based on what you have written, the system is working to the design - you said banned words and were banned.

There is a lof of mixing up of independent issues here. Terms of Service, ping, packet burst, streaming textures etc.

"What is the criteria that the AI is basing off" Swear words.
"I have made no threats nor shown any sexism" - thats ok.

How is it based off of swear words when the operators in the game round after round drop the F bomb time and time again. Over and over people drop so called swear words and trust me they are generally directed toward me or my friends and we meet them nearly every time we play and they are never com banned so yet again how is it swear words? If it is specific words or terms these need to properly outlined and another thing you do realize that the Ai that they use is not theirs and it's receiving full access and rights to everything said from the time you load the game?

It's not based off swear words. You can F bomb all you want.

To get banned you had to say something really nasty.

I was in the lobby.....he didn't say anything that should have triggered a ban. Call outs for areas of the map and asking for info from the team. Telling team mates good shot or complaining about people laying in door ways. Maybe an F-Bomb here and there but nothing toxic....nothing sexist....nothing racist.

That's why I'm saying they need to get the AI in check there is no accountability with this system right now it states that if you are reported by a player for whatever reason or if the AI considers your conversation "Toxic" it is to then go to a moderator to decide validity and assign the punishment. I leave my mic on push to talk so any background noise and conversations that shouldn't be part of others gaming experience can be selected and filtered out. The only thing said by me has been exact map locations and teammates names if they needed to know where someone was. I know that nobody here will believe what I say but there needs to be at the very least a clipped recording so you might be able to figure out what is going on with this system.

Not all swear words are on the list and there is no list published by Activsion. The F word will not get you banned, but my recommendation is not to use any swear words as you may get banned. There are some words if you say once, you will get banned.

If you are trying to say Activision are hypocritical - well they are.

Activision state: "All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect.
Communication with others, whether using text or voice chat, must be free of offensive or harmful language."

I wouldn't leave your mic on - because background conversations if detected will be subject to the same rules.

I received a seven-day ban for saying "Hi De Ho" like Cartman. After the ban, I said it again as this is how I've greeted my clan mates for years. I received a 14-day ban.
