BO6 not launching from Steam

I realize that others are having similar issues but I wanted to put my 2 cents here.

I've spent the last hour troubleshooting this and trying to get the game to launch. I've

-Verified the integrity of the game files
-Ran the .exe file as administrator
-Uninstalled and reinstalled MP Pack 1
-Ran the bootstrapper.exe from the local files from the cod folder
-Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game

Nothing works. Just seems silly that I have to spend an hour trying to get the game to launch, and when and if it decides to finally launch, I either get prompted with "update requires restart" or "patch files may be corrupted. you need to restart" just to start the whole process over again.

I would really like at least some acknowledgement that this is an issue and they are working on a fix for it. I think the game itself is pretty great, but at this point I feel like I wasted $70 on software that doesn't run

You say use Battlenet, but how worth is it to pay full price again? I'm VERY doubtful that even using Battlenet will do much..

It won't work. i got it on battle net, steam and game pass and still crashes.

Check to see if you have Riot Vanguard installed, that's what fixed it for me. The thing is though, it wouldn't launch on Battle.net, either. If it is installed, uninstall it.

I had same issue on call of duty mw3 with:
- files may be corrupted. you need to restart
- update require restart, after restart the game crash not launching
- I tried to verify game integrity multiple times, no luck
- I tried reinstalling the game but still not help
I solved that issue by performing Reset Shader Cache using AMD Radeon Software (My GPU is AMD)
Hope this helps anyone having the same problem with cod mw3 or bo6.

The problem starts when you install a weapon from a previous version of the game, which strangely enough can be done. There is nothing wrong with your installation files. The problem is at the server side. They should fix this and come with an update asap. Because it is unsolvable for the clients.

hello i have a intel i9 14900kf and a gtx 4090 i have disabled "hyper threading"in the bios.
i can now launch te game and play a few rounds and than it crashes but if i start it again i can play again a few rounds.

that is better then not playing at all.
you can change it and test it.

I have been trying every damn thing, can't even refund this game due to purchasing it a month ago, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of buying these games. I hope activision fixes these kind of bugs
