Basically the devs know the game is doing absolutely nothing new and is the same old CoD we've been getting for over a decade, but they needed an edgy marketing buzzword to trick fools into thinking it's some kind of revolutionary feature. The way you move in game has its own buzzword and it promoted as a feature; that's how creatively bankrupt these games are now. 🤣🤣
As I commented earlier, CoD hasn't even attempted to be even remotely realistic (or I guess it's better to say "authetnic") for a long time now. It's always been arcadey, but once streamers and content creators started really showcasing all of the movement glitches they could do to make them nearly impossible to hit as they pinballed all over the place, Activision realized that any attempt at making a military style shooter wasn't in their interest any more, and they wanted some hyper kinetic ADHD parkour fest.
I try to be open minded about things, but I just got out of a game where the other team had REALLY mastered the omni movement ability to sprint, slide, dive, get up, slide, dive in ways that didn't seem possible. They were literally changing directions on a dime and it looked like the floors were smeared with Vaseline and the walls were spring loaded, because these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were sliding and bouncing off of everything, all while maintaining damn near 100% accuracy, so they would basically slip'n'slide all across the map just absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ down our throats.
It not only looked goofy as hell, but it's also really not what I signed up for. If I wanted to play that old game Gunz: The Duel, I'd go play that.
