1) Go into the installation folder of the game. Right click on the "COD" (.exe), go in compatibility and UNCHECK the case "deactivate full screen optimizations" AND unchek the case "Run as Administrator".
2) On the steam page of the game, go in manage the DLC of COD. Uncheck ALL and check again ONLY the BO6 related cases. Steam will make a file verify.
3) Run steam as administrator and lauch COD with the "Play" Button of steam.
100% Worked for me and my IRL friend.
Hope it will help you guys !
For all those who have trouble even launching the game, I might have some info that could help you.
I came across the problem that when I hit play, Steam showed me that the game was launching, but after some seconds, it changed to play again. If you are facing this issue, you can try the following:
First, you should check the install folder for the so-called bootstrapper.log and see what is inside. Mine always said, "Failed to start service (647)."
You can also check your Windows Event Log for what is written under Adminstrator events at the same time you launch the game.
Min showed me the following:
The Service "atvi-randgrid_sr" was not started because of a failure.
After I saw that, I looked a little bit deeper. Bootstrapper is a service that needs to be started before the COD Launcher is shown. It is executed on the Kernel level, so I tried to figure out why it is failing.
I tried to run it as an administrator using CMD to get it started, but nothing worked.
I am using Windows 11, and under Device security, I was able to find a point called Core Isolation. This was deactivated on my end because Windows detected problems with some drivers on my system. I could not enable it until I solved these problems.
Now, the tricky part started. I found drivers from Logitech, Creative, Oracel, and Microsoft itself. Some of them could be deleted using PowerShell and the proper commands, while others were "burned in" the system and needed extra tools like Autoruns. The most difficult one was the Creative CtClsFlt.sys driver. It was a real pain in the *** but, in fact, very easy to delete by just removing the .sys file from the System32 folder c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository.
After I removed all the problematic drivers, I could turn on Core Isolation. After that, Bootstrapper was able to start, and the launcher came up!
I also removed everything from Logitech from my site (G-Hub) and deleted a bunch of other programmes from my pc, but I think this was all useless.
Unfortunately, I also changed the game's language at the same time as I turned on the Core Isolation, so I can not say if the language change did the job, but I doubt it.
I spent more than six hours figuring that out without help from Steam or Activision, but in the end, I managed to play it. Was it worth it? So far, yes.
I hope this helps some of you!

Patrick
LMK if it works.
