game does not open (FIXED)

i click play then the dxdiag.exe opens in task manager titled as "microsoft direct x diagnostic tool" and then the game closes... i could run this game just fine a couple of months ago i'm on a high end rig so i'm not sure what is up with cod today..

and pretty sure my rig is compatible with > AVX2 < my pc runs on the i9-12900k cpu and gpu is a 4090

I have exactly the same problem for 2 days now and I can’t do anything! Already deleted 3 times! I've tried all the drivers and it just won't work! AND THIS IS ALL AFTER THE UPDATE!

yea i might as well step away from cod as well always issues with this company cant do anything right

Guys i tried everythink and i found somtething that worked for me you need to delete the players folder from Windows/Documents/Call of Duty/ players

Just delete the folder and start the game someone posted this dont know if it works tho

does not work for me sadly i cant even get to run the cod.exe it just shows the dxdiag.exe and then it shows the play button again...

so i tried verifying the game files still same issue wtf man..

sucks.. i don't even get an error > microsoft direct x diagnostic tool < opens instead of the game and then quits after a few seconds from my task manager after that it shows the play button again i literally played this game fine months ago
