Yeah it really sucks. I hate this unified launcher nonsense it brings 0 advantages and it means now whenever I launch MW3 I have to do 2 update restarts. First I launch CoD HQ (BO6 in essence) and that then blocks me from continuing until I restart BO6 to apply the updates. I do that. Then I finally go through all the menus to get to MW3 to launch that. That then closes BO6 and finally launches MW3 launcher and then that again needs to restart to apply updates which in rare occasion just shuts it without restarting and then you have to go back to the BO6 launcher and launch MW3 once more and then wait for shaders to finish compiling and now you can finally play the game
Because of the hassle it is I often just don't even want to play MW3 anymore knowing I have to go through that hassle
It also makes me even less likely to buy any future CoD games including BO6 which I have 0 interest in, in part due to this type of nonsense
So their greed is causing them to lose paying customers. There was a time when I would buy every new CoD game but Activision is really going out of there way to make me not want to buy new CoD titles and I surely am not the only one in this same boat of thought
