Bad fps on 4070
Before the update, I could get 120/144 fps on high settings, with a ryzen 7 5800x, never played at that I always played lower for competitive. But now, I can’t break past 100 consistently. It’s a major slump. On the Xbox app and battlenet the fps is abit better, and my system is being utilised properly whereas steam wasn’t. But I’m still losing like 70% of my frames. Before the update my frames were awesome even on the highest settings and now it’s so bad. And even with everything lowered there isn’t much of a difference:(. I saw someone who had a 5600 lower cpu than mine yet he’s getting the same frames as I was prior to the update. What’s going on! What’s the point in having a pc if you can’t use it :/

Today I changed the power cable of the video card and after that I got fewer frames, I thought that the cable was to blame, but since you have the same problem, it means it’s a crappy patch again

I have the same PC configuration as you, bro. 110 fps on steam. In the X-Box launcher the situation is no better. 20-30 fps more, but still not the same. The guys approached optimization on PC very strangely. We just have to wait for patches. but it takes them a long time to fix it

If you're on the latest nvidia driver, go back to 566.03 or earlier. The latest drivers lost me 20-30 fps WITH DLSS and frame gen on.

No drivers currently fix the directx crash that I know of though. I've yet to play a whole match on Hideout because I legit ALWAYS crash after a minute and a half.

Good luck dude.

Hey man appreciate the reply. Yeah it’s a funny one. Some people don’t understand pcs at all. I got people telling me “upgrade”. Like do you even know how pcs work? Iv had this set up since last Christmas, Iv had no problems. Sometimes with games being unoptimised, but usually pretty decent. 1080p is overkill for it, but I play 1440p mainly. It seems to be a gpu and cpu utilisation issue, this happened when almazra dropped. Then 3 months later my fps went crazy high. I think it’s the same problem this time around. It seems nvidea cards get the back end of it tho. I manage 144-165 on 1080p, high settings on warzone, and 1440p which I play
Mostly at, 120-144. But now, I can’t even reach that. And when I lower settings I can only get alone 90-115 but it’s very inconsistent. Choppy, stutters. It’s funny, very major update this happens and you have to wait 3 months before it’s fixed. My pc is made to play native 1440p, at high frames, but it seems call of duty is the only game where fps problems arise with updates. And it’s so frustrating. I don’t want to use dlss, or amd, or lower my res when my pc is made to play 1440p at high frames, it’s only ever cod 🤣🤣

I think it an nvidea issue. Theirs a guy who does a test on a 5600 which is lower than my ryzen 7 5800x he has also an amd card which is the same as a 4070, and on max 1440p he get 120-165 fps, that what id get before the
update on max settings warzone, now i cant break 70 fps, so it is a game issue, almazra all over again. I can lower and play, and reach like 90-115 which is fine but it not the point, whats the point in having newer hardware if you cant utilise it because the game ha issues. it always seems to be nvidea cards

well its pretty dumb to use 40 series withouth frame gen, any game nowdays need frame gen to hit 200 fps even 4080 cant hit constant 200 fps. just use nvidia frame gen for low lattency and high fps. if u are amd user then use fsr frame gen

You don’t wanna use frame gen on warzone. Not any online game. The high In out delay isn’t great for online games what’s so ever. A 4070 paired with a ryzen 75800x is more than enough at native settings. I played before the update for a long time hitting 120-144 fps with no problems native settings at high. And most other games are fine too. FYI, it’s a 1440p build. Before the update I could manage 144-165 at mostly high settings on 1080p, 1440p around 120-144, but now I can’t manage a consistent 100. Iv never ever had any issues with any other game fps wise other than call of duty from time to time. This is almazra all over again. In 2 months, boom the frames will be back. Iv come to the conclusion it’s a cpu and gpu utilisation issue. Theirs a guy who runs a similar build to me, but has a 5600 instead, and he gets on 1440p the same fps I got before the update, now. But he has a amd card equivalent to a 4070. So my conclusion is it’s usually nvidea cards that get these issues. Especially with utilisation

try it u wont even notice the delay, just turn of the reflex on+boost manually on cod24 config file
