PROVEN FIX for current DirectX crashes.
This solution has already helped me and another Steam user. So I'm reposting it here. Most of you have well cooled and not overclocked systems and still DirectX crashes. Here is the solution that really helps:

Switch off cloud storage in the in-game account settings. Switch off all scaling methods in the graphics quality settings. Switch off DLSS or FX CAS. Completely. Save the settings and exit the game. Restart shader compilation in the game, restart the game. Stay in the game menu for about 15 minutes without doing anything. Restart the game one last time. Yes, you will have significantly less FPS. But no more crashes.

This game doesn't support cloud saving I think? You can usually disable a cloud save on a per-game basis. Someone in the thread you linked had also mentioned this didn't fix the issue. I'll try it myself and let you know though.

The game crashed again even with your suggestion, but thank you for trying. I think most people should pass on this. I switched off all scaling methods, I don't have DLSS/FX CAS with an 1080Ti, and I restarted shader compilation, restarted the game, waited 15 minutes, restarted the game again.

Well then you didn't disable cloud saving at the ingame account/network page .

Hello guys,

It helped me to just set the "vram scale target" from 80 to 60. Since then, no more crashes. I have an RTX 3070.

THANKS that has actually helped me!
This and the latest NVIDIA driver - no more crashes for over 50+ games.

By cloud saving, do you mean the clouded settings option?
Deathdusk Nov 24, 2024 @ 1:34am
Okay, I tried this even with the clouded settings option unticked, and I still crashed. I'm glad this may of worked for you, but it hasn't worked for me. I didn't even queue into my first game before crashing.

Directx crash 0x887A0005 possible cause.
For those having directx crashing issues with black ops 6 on windows 11 it might be due to the windows cumulative update 24H2 windows currently has a hold on this cumulative update for Ubisoft game users so wouldn’t surprise me if blizzard/Activision is also affected.

If your system has this build version you might want to try and rollback your update.

If you have a Nvidia card, DO NOT USE 566.14. You must use 561.09. I had consistent crashes with the new driver, changed just the driver out (no crazy deactivation of all rendering features) and the crashes are GONE.

Did you use DDU to uninstall 566.14?

You just download an older driver off of Nvideas website

I rolled back and have the same issue. i dont believe this is a nvidia issue. Going through the discussions some AMD users are experiencing the same boot startup exe crash
I can't even load shaders it just crashes
