BLACK OPS 6 CRASH ON STARTUP
STORY (If you don't care about it just look at the fixes bellow.)
I bought bo6 a few days ago on Battle.net. I tried to play it but it would crash on startup. I was confused and tried a few more times. Didn't work. I tried everything like disabling my fire wall, anticheat, running the game as admin, running it on directX11, updating and reverting all drivers, moving disks etc. Nothing online helped either So i refunded it and bought it on Steam. Same issue. After 3 days of hard work I am shocked at what the problem with me was. I was cleaning my pc of apps I don't need. Then I found reWASD which I haven't used IN YEARS. I remembered cod anticheat hates all remapping software and as soon as I uninstalled it my game worked perfect. I CAN'T express how angry I am with activison for wasting so many hours of my life for a stupid fix like this

BIG FIXES ( 2 big issues if you don't get any pop up errors when your game doesn't start )
- go to your game folder doesn't matter which launcher you use and find bootstrapper
its a text file. Open it and see what it says. If you see a message saying something like : Failed to open \??\E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ\randgrid.sys. This means that the randgrid.sys isn't in the folder that's specified. So go to your game folder and copy that file and paste it in the path that the error says it's missing from ( if you need help feel free to ask for details )
- if you have any and I mean ANY remapping software like snapkey, reWASD, uninstall everything including its logs and maps.

MINOR FIXES ( can be the problem in some cases )
- try running the game as admin
- try updating all drivers and windows
- disable your antiviruses and put call of duty in firewall exceptions
- try putting the code -dx11 or -d3d11 as a launch option in battle.net, steam or game pass
- run the game in safe mode

ERROR FIX ( if you get an error message popup )
If you get a pop up when your game crashes you can comment it here and I'll help you try and fix it or maybe another kind person in the comments. I can't list a fix for every error here since there are far too many.

I HOPE I HELPED SOMEONE AND REMEMBER IT'S THE DEVELOPERS FAULT FOR MAKING SUCKS A STUPID SYSTEM

X DirectX Error
DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error
Error Code: 0x887A0005 (0x887A0006) (6068) D
Signature: A01E1135-B4516CBA-59241FE7-F045712A
Location: 0x00007FF8623FB699 (20428328)
Executable: game_steam_ship.exe

Having this EXACT error, first few days 0 crashes, have never seen this error over the last few years I've been playing cod on PC. Now over the last 3 days I'm lucky if i can even finish one full multiplayer match.
For me the probleme was Wallpaper Engine. Closed the app and the game didn't crash.

Here is the fix.
Windows Audio stack strikes back. WOW. Windows has had a weak audio stack for some time now. I am running a Asus mother board that uses the Realtek driver the Sonic Studio is in the driver. I like it, although it has some faults. I was having hard PC crashes in games from AUDIODG.EXE via the ntdll.dll, the door keeper in a way. I fixed the crashes by removing the Nvidia HD Audio that comes with the Nvidia driver. Fixed no more crashes.
There is nothing wrong with the Nvidia HD Audio. Windows just can't run Icue for the headst, Sonic Studio and Nvidia HD Audio at the same time. The door keeper 'ntdll.dll' flops on the floor and cries, PC locks up crashes. I still get the Audiodg.exe error in Event viewer, if I alt+tab out of the game. This is from what I can tell, it's looking for audio in the MDT or HDMI input.

I found that if I started Steam and just let the PC sit the game would start. This led me to think windows was turning off a service when it was not needed or task manager stop a service.
I was able to confirm that the Nahimic Service is what is keeping the game from starting or a sub component of it. Going to services and just stopping it will let the game start. I was able to repeat this.
Stopping the service kills Sonic Studio, as this service has the 3D or Upmix/Surround components. There is no need to uninstall Sonic Studio, and in my case it's part of the audio driver signed by Microsoft.
I don't think Activision blocked this, as their is no cheat advantage at all. So it needs to be fixed. I want that great COD sound. I was able to alt+tab out of the game and restart the service and Sonic Studio to get the sound back and had no issues playing the game.
The Nahimic Service is used in ASRock, MSI boards as well as Steel series headsets.
Wow….after 3 days of headaches and suffering I randomly decided to check on this. Sure enough Nahimic Service was running in task manager, closed it and the game started right up. I can’t believe how quirky this game is when it comes to random processes running in the background. This caused me so much aggravation. In any event thank you for this post because at least I can play the damn game.

I wish this fixed it for me.

Uninstall the entire game, and download ONLY the BLACK OPS 6 files again, excluding warzone, Modern warfare multiplayer. Only BO6, solved it for me.
To select the files: Right click on the game > Properties > Additional content > Select the BO6 files > Install the game.
THIS WORKED!!! I literally just spent the last 6 hours doing everything I could to fix these issue and this was the solution. Thank you amigo!
Still waiting to see if this 100% fixed my issue, but I have a Gigabyte B650 motherboard, and in BIOS, DDR5 Auto Booster has always been enabled for me. I just disabled it, and my game has been running for 1 hour so far no crash. (Before it would run for ~15 mins before crashing). Still want to see if I can have XMP enabled, as I have both XMP and Auto Booster disabled rn.

Edit: I enabled XMP Low Latency, and my game has not crashed in the last 30 minutes. I hope this solution helps someone because I’ve been looking for days, and couldn’t find anything online.

So, I got the error code 0x00001337 (0) N. Any ideas on a fix?

That error usually means your graphics drivers need an update. If you haven't try updating your gpu and cpu even it can help. If it doesn't try updating your windows. There can sometimes be bonus windows updates which you need to do manually. If you have an old system it's also likely your gpu isn't supported.

Well, it looks like CoD fixed the problem. None of those issues a true for me. I am on the latest Windows 11 update. I have the latest graphics driver, and I have a 3070. So, it shouldn't be too old for a while. Thank you for the help though!
It was crashing after about 2 minutes of being open. Uninstalled ReWASD and it's works fine now. Thank you so much I never would've thought it was that
