Pre-Loading Shaders
Just out of curiosity, which dev decided it would be a hilarious prank to play on PC MWIII players to force us to sit there and start and stop matchmaking about 50 times in order to manually tell the game what it's supposed to be doing? The Pre loading shaders has never once done its job on its own for me, and I remember this being in issue in other MW games as well.

WHY IS THIS STILL A THING?

I've played several different versions of COD and I don't remember any where shaders were such a pain to deal with. It makes the game nearly unplayable and I don't have an hour to sit and wait for them to reload at whim.

You can force them to go faster by starting and stopping a match search over and over, but it's almost as annoying as waiting
You preload them once, if you update drivers or change any hardware in your PC, impatient children.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

fax, plus shader preloading is WAYY faster this year compared to previous cods.

Because PC version is more complex which requires you to compile shaders if you updated latest driver whereas console version doesn't require shader compilation since the developers can easily target specific hardware due to same hardware configuration, thus it's easier to optimize console version; in other words, no longer requires you to wait until shader compilation is complete.

how exactly does match making get into this?

you simply start the game and wait for it to be done ( should auto start after driver update)
or you simply go to settings press reset shaders and wait for it to be done

starting and stopping matchmaking does absolutely nothing, it literally cant make anything go faster, if anything, you are slowing it down, instead of just letting it do its thing you are forcing it to deal with your other crap

I like how you're saying it does absolutely nothing when I've witnessed it do absolutely something x10 faster than "waiting". Genius logic. If I waited it would take hours at the rate it goes.
