Sounds like a PC problem or your drivers, me and my friends have had 0 crashes and no errors with completely diff builds, we talking 40 series, 30 series and 10 series GPU's all of them works fine.
Would recommend trying the full clean reinstall of drivers and direct x, worst case delete the game and test after all of the options.
And honestly I don't wanna be that guy but issues like this shouldn't even occur everything should be optimized during new releases.
I haven't met anyone who hasn't crashed so i guess you guys are just lucky i suppose.
Clean install of Windows 11 24H2 and latest Nvidia drivers…
Gtx 1080 Ti
If it was the game then 200k people would have had the issue, i know it's frustrating to be one of the few that gets these crashes alot but me and 4 of my friends got no issues at all even with 1070 GTX all the way up to 4080 SUPER, no errors and no crashes so it's something with the PC or duped drivers etc, game is fine and works like a charm.
If you are on steam try launch option: -dx11
Still randomly get the DirectX error on my 4090 as well. The only other game that ever crashed like this for me was Jedi Survivor near release when on a specific planet with RT enabled. And I believe they fixed that issue by now.
Just got a crash and I checked the crash log and it told me that radeonsoftware.exe or smt so I uninstalled the amd software and it works again now. Launched Star Citizen and while it downloaded the game crashed again but that makes sense, after the download was done I had no more issues.
