game instantly closing after opening why?

everytime i open it after installation it just closes instantly

Is this seriously still a bug? I had this months back and decided to check the forums, does it just close itself after like 10 seconds with no error? Cause i had this months ago.

Edit: Decided to try the game again to see if they fixed it, launching the game broke my mouse and keyboard drivers to the point where i had to use a system restore point to fix them. Incredible. Truly.

it is usually due to some software that is not allowed if you have some things like Rewasd it close the game until its uninstalled

Having this problem as well. Crash on startup with no error

*Edit* Just found out it's because I have rewasd. Sucks, I use that program with my gamepad for all of my games. Guess I'm not playing cod now

try going to windows security/app and browser control/reputation based protection settings turn all that on. mine blocked an app it said effected cod

The game is acting like ♥♥♥♥ today. Just adding to a long laundry list of problems this game is having. WTF has happened to this game in past several months.

Now Im getting the stupid "verifying game files" BS error. Seriously - Activision, WTF happened to this game from about April/May onward? Between packet bursts, latency variation, profile signouts, now this BS, WTF happened to this game?

My steam account doesn't want to connect to call of duty. Even when I add my phone number the link always says link has expired. What do I do?

You have something on your computer that block the game and/or a program banned by this games anticheat, like rewasd... It could also be antivirus and/or firewall blocking.

And, some errors like this could be broken directx and vcredist.

Browse to steam/steamapps/common/steamworks shared/ subfolders there/directx - run Dxsetup.exe and do as prompt - restart pc
Browse to steam/steamapps/common/steamworks shared/ subfolders there/vcredist - in folder 2022 - run both ....x86.exe and ....x64.exe - do as prompt and restart pc.
