Banned for "unauthorized software"
I submitted an appeal to Activision and i can no longer request appeal. The ban on Steam is not allowing me to interact with game reviews "Steam error 17."

Basically, I played the game for under an hour in February of 2023. I got banned from Call of Duty games (for using "unauthorized software and manipulation of game data") 101 days ago as of this posting. If i played 46 minutes of a game and never touched it again, how are you going to ban me over a year later, and why the hell would i use hacks for that???

My big issue is that i can't interact with reviews on steam because of this ban, i could honestly care less about playing the game.

Does anyone have any idea about how i could go about trying to get this fixed?

Activision is not here. All we can do is tell you to contact their support.

Activision bans users for no reason because of third-party software, this so-called third-party software is razer synapse or nvidia game on. Not every banned user is automatically a cheater, Activision just doesn't want to admit that they make mistakes.

if you'll be permaban in a COD's game, you'll be permaban in ALL their games and permanently !
and whatever the time you dont play, your account would be permaban, this method exists since MW2 and their COD HQ

enjoy your "unauthorized software" dude !!! :steamlaughcry::steamlaughcry::steamlaughcry:

Best advice i can give is don't cheat, spend the time getting skills like 98% of us, not only will you not get a ban but you will also find it more enjoyable.
The excuses are indeed getting more creative but against you is a far more clever AI that can weed out your lame excuses. RIP

I mean, believe what you want? Literally only thing i do "cheat"-wise is steam mods for rogue-likes / survival crafts. Heavily thought about putting god mode on monster hunter world a while back, ended up never doing it. At the time of playing the game, i had overwolf on my computer, so i imagine that is what popped it. Regardless im not actually upset about losing access to CoD games, considering i barely play them (insert time of playing from original post, followed by 8 month later ban, with a total play time of 46 minutes on warzone), i am just more upset that it lead to issues with steam reviews.

Yeah. Even Valve issues VAC bans in Dota 2 for Overplus.

it be okay if actervision bans you but when steam bans you its different
you can login to actervision and unlink all your accounts once a year. you can then link it to a new steam account and play with you stats as i bet you wernt banned because of actervision
i was steam banned for "unauthorized software and manipulation of game data" when my ram blew up. and a new steam account was my fix. steam have repeatedly refused to unban my account without permission from actervision
if your ram is about to blow up. do a memcheck if it fails even once you can get a free RMA on your memory

A dev muat submit the request for the ban to be removed from the users Steam account through the developers Steamworks partner account.

It's all pretty much automated once the game dev makes the request. It's like an API call to have it removed.

Valve can't make that input on behalf of the game developer.

My best advice is that if you spent money on this game, contact a lawyer and sue Activision. They only care about your money.
