I had that error on my old setup. I overclocked the ram above the max speed for the sticks
So this is related to hardware error

See this guide.

Doesn't matter if you are above the speed that HW is made for.
All cpu's have a max recommended speed related to RAM speed... Check this

I had this problem frequently. What caused it in my case was a loose ram stick- I had 4 sticks but since one was loose, only 3 got picked up. This caused a lot of instability (and bad performance) on my games. Ever since I fixed that, everything's fine. My RAM is overclocked now using XMP and still no issues, so you may want to check if everything's okay on the physical side.

Are you sure? I tried 2 sticks, still getting it.

This reeks of race conditions, probably for water cooled high end turbo desktops.

I request that the devs and QA people are made to keep off server and workstation grade hardware! :)

Hardware problems aren't really that common anymore with MCE stuff going into most everything today, run some back ground apps, install something and change some settings and voila! by magic the race condition vanished?

Even better, let the rig slumber for some minutes, maybe that works?

Or wait, different error than the thread i bumped recently, but still....
And yeah, exclusively crashing on big maps doesn't promise healthy memory at high utilization regions.

never mind, just crashed in game for the first time since having the startup problem.

pretty unworkable, and been sending crash reports for a week before it got worse.

not looking forward to bo6 preorder atm.

I got this error too :/ dunno how to fix it I check everything in my pc all is working fine nothing is bottle necking or anything nor overheat all fine but I still get the error after couple of games and the weird part is I can run the game in mid/high settings now its forcing me to go safe mode which is the graphics is so blurry

After much back and forth with Activision support over this issue, they informed that they are aware of it and to keep an eye on their official communication accounts for when a fix is released...

Alternatively, you can download the game through Xbox PC and lowering your RAM speed (disable RAM XMP from the BIOS).

update on the error I'm having - so far this is the quick fix that I can do is to verify files + run in safe mode (don't forget to set 1920 x 1080) + keep settings all in low/very low = this so far avoided the errors and mid way in the game I tested to put my high settings back the game stuttered then I tried normal and low game still gets that lag/stutter (vram usage is also affected) this might work on your situation try it out.

Likely a hardware issue on your end...most likely its your RAM/memory is unstable. Run memory diagnostic tool, or just turn down your RAM OC. Check for too high of value on trefi if you have DDR5
