How I fixed my game from crashing at bootup
Kept getting crash reports at the main COD boot up screen. Here’s how I fixed that:

1) Open Task Manager and end the OneDrive task

2) In the COD.exe file, under the compatibility tab, I enabled Run Program as Administrator and Disable Full Screen Optimizations

3) Run Steam as an administrator

Once Steam opens, run COD and I hope my fixes work for you as well!

Fullscreen Optimizations does nothing in DirectX12 games.

If I have it unchecked, it’ll crash. No idea.

My game crashes at launch, I tried your tips, nothing works, update bios, driver, uninstall and reinstall call of, same for steam, delete the call of duty file in documents etc. I don't know what to do anymore I even upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11
your CPU might be too fast/unstable for the game (no offense)

I had to reduce my CPU speeds with a power saving plan and a maximum cpu frequency, loading the game and then switching to high performance power plan again! during loadup certain parts of the CPU seem to be used too heavily. additionally if you disable XMP and use the RAM default speed, aswell as disabling 4G decoding in the bios, crashing is eliminated. (it will disable rebar) the game also apparently doesnt like when IO or SA voltages are too high. if you get a specific cod error code make sure to google it too!

But the game doesn't launch at all, even in my task manager it doesn't appear. And since the update of 07/26 before I had no problems
