Ban lifted by Activision but its still visible on Steam, Support refuses to help.
So i have been banned from Call of Duty by Activision after my acoount got hacked and a random guy linked his battlenet to cheat under my activision account.
I managed to reclaim the account with the help of Activision support and they even lifted all my bans. Sadly the game ban is still showing on my Steam.
I have been playing pingpong with supports the last few days.
Steam refers me to Activision and they refer me back.
I have send screenshots of the conversations to both parties clearly stating i have no bans on my account.
Now steam support closed my ticket and is refusing to help me with this issue.

I just want to have this "cheater-stamp" gone from my account since i never cheated in my life and dont intend to do so.

Does anyone here experienced the same and got it fixed?

Only Activision can contact Valve to have the Game developer ban removed on your Steam account.

This process can take ages to do depending on how lazy the 2 sides are.

Yip. this is terrible. These bans are not fair. I have long called for the linked account 'feature' to be removed as it is not secure. The 2 factor does not work correctly. Other than marketing, the link account feature gives little or no benefit to the user while causing unjust bans. When the bans are removed from battlenet, they do not get removed from steam. :(

Keep trying on steam side. Let them know you already asked for help before and the ticket got closed before it got resolved.

At least you can still play the game now the ban is lifted. Ban showing on your profile is nothing.

Same! So even if ban is off - the steam ban flag is still out there?

So i managed to get the ban off my profile.
When Activision unbanned me the API-Call did not reach Steam.
The Activision Support helped me and send apparently another API-Call to Steam to remove the ban

What did you guys tell their support to get this fixed? I've been messaging them for 2 months about this issue, and it's like they purposefully don't want to fix my issue. They keep telling me that they can't remove a game ban when all they have to do is notify Steam that my account was unbanned. I really don't get it

I wrote also feedback to Activision, here COD -> Steam -> Feedback and Bug Reporting -> I want to leave a feedback.

Then someone will contact you through email directly. Write them what happened.

Thanks, I just left the feedback. Hopefully this does the trick
