Call of Duty games tend to remain reasonably active even after the next one comes out. Gameplay's fun, story isn't as bad as everyone says, multiplayer is, well, CoD multiplayer, you can get that for free in Warzone Mobile, and MWZ is surprisingly fun too. I'd say that a sale like this is probably the best time to pick it up as the RRP is pretty steep. If you're not really all that fussed about this game though, there's no shame in waiting for BO6.

otherwise wait for BO6 and its gonna be one of the best CODs imo

and anything from this cod will NOT carry forward to BO6 (only to warzone)

MW & BO, obviously are different styles, so i'd get both but last time i bought a CoD game was BO1 in 2010 and MW2 in 2009 and both were still quite well populated 3 years ago when i last played them, so that makes these new games a gud upgrade and they may also have players for many years, but because MW & BO are different it's woth getting 1 of each

BO6 is trash. MW III 2023 had the OG 2009 maps which is good, but Activision sabotaged the map rotation after BO6 launched, meaning you only get them 1/10 times and you get their terrible new maps mostly. It has an offensively bad campaign too. MW 2019 was the last truly good entry of the COD reboots but many of the game moves are dead now.
