"Treat Everyone with Respect

We do not tolerate bullying or harassment, including derogatory comments based on race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, culture, faith, mental or physical abilities, or country of origin, or the amplification of any person, agenda, or movement that promotes discrimination or violence based on the above.

All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect.

Communication with others, whether using text or voice chat, must be free of offensive or harmful language. Hate speech and discriminatory language is offensive and unacceptable, as is harassment and threatening another player.

The updated Code of Conduct language can be found at CallofDuty.com/Values. This change will also be reflected in-game, though truncated due to character limitations, after a title update at a later date.

Moderation Findings

Prior to the launch of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III, we introduced a new voice moderation system in North America (English only) as part of a rolling beta. When Modern Warfare III launched, our voice moderation system expanded globally (excluding Asia) and added Spanish and Portuguese moderation. English, Spanish, and Portuguese voice moderation is active worldwide, excluding Asia. Voice moderation is online in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II, Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty®: Warzone™.

We were able to identify several trends that have helped evolve our approach and methodology on moderation during the voice moderation beta period in North America – beginning August 30, 2023 – and into the global launch of Modern Warfare III.

Voice Moderation Enforcement: More than 2 million accounts have seen in-game enforcement for disruptive voice chat, based on the Call of Duty Code of Conduct.

For disruptive behavior found by our voice moderation, only 1 in 5 users reported the behavior, showing an unfortunate trend that players often do not report in-game instances to our Disruptive Behavior team. In cases that go unreported, our voice moderation system allows us to take action against players that violate the Code of Conduct. Active reporting is still critical so that players can raise any negative situation they encounter.

To encourage more reporting, we’ve rolled out messages that thank players for reporting and in the future, we're looking to provide additional feedback to players when we act on their reports.

Our voice moderation and reporting, combined with username and text chat moderation, provide our players with both proactive and reactive protection against disruptive behavior.

Reduction in Repeat Offenders: Examining month-over-month data, Call of Duty saw an 8% reduction of repeat offenders since the rollout of in-game voice chat moderation.
Anyone detected to have violated the Code of Conduct will receive actions such as globally muting from voice and text chat and/or restricting other social features. Repeat offenders are restricted further, muting them from communication in both voice and text channels within Call of Duty HQ.

Reduction to Toxic Voice Chat Exposure: Call of Duty saw a ~50% reduction in players exposed to severe instances of disruptive voice chat since Modern Warfare III’s launch.

When our voice moderation system detects a violation of the Call of Duty Code of Conduct which results in global voice chat restrictions, players are muted globally.

Our tools will continue to evolve and expand over time, including the addition of new languages to our voice moderation system in future updates.

Call of Duty is dedicated to combating toxicity within our games and will empower our teams to deploy and evolve our moderation technology to fight disruptive behavior, whether it be via voice or text chat. We understand this is ongoing work, but we are committed to working with our community to make sure Call of Duty is fair and fun for all. "

"Activision ID accounts permanently banned from previous Call of Duty titles starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty console and PC titles released thereafter as well as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile may not be eligible to play Black Ops 6, per the existing Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy.

Battle.net accounts that have been permanently banned from Modern Warfare III, Modern Warfare II, or Warzone will not be eligible to purchase Black Ops 6 from the Blizzard Digital Store. Players may have the ability to purchase Black Ops 6 digitally on Xbox and PlayStation, as well as on Microsoft Store and Steam; however, permanently banned accounts will not be eligible to play online modes in Black Ops 6 in those versions." I have been unbanned by Activision for almost a month now and the ban still shows on my Steam profile, even though I can play the game fine on my Steam account. I've messaged Steam support on two different occasions but they said they couldn't do anything about it. I've shown Activision support what Steam replied to me but it seems like they don't care at all. Any other ideas that could help me resolve this?

You have to screenshot what Activision says and send it to valve and screenshot what valve says and send it to Activision
That's what I've already done on two different occasions and they just don't seem to care.

I've also tried Bbb but because I already made a complaint when I had another issue, I'm unable to make another one, they just deny it every time because it is apparently a 'duplicate' complaint even though it is not so yeah I'm kinda out of options. I was thinking of maybe unlinking and relinking my Steam account to my Activision account but idk how that could even help.
You have to literally walk on eggshells in this game. I got a ban warning for minor trash talk for using my mic without profanity lol. There also isn't a theater mode to prove your innocence (like the old games) if you pop off and wreck the opposing team with a solid game. People can just report you out of bitterness and get you in trouble.

Been unbanned for like 40 days now and my game ban still shows on Steam after I did all of these steps. Contacted bbb, contacted Steam with screenshots from Activision and contacted Activision with screenshots from Steam. Not sure what else I can try now

Make sure you quote the entire thread. :steamhappy:
Updated ban thread. Just found this on their site. This is to better clarify what games will stop you from playing Call of Duty if you got banned. This will most Likely be for all newer CoDs as well.

so my account was hacked the next day and I changed my password and sent an account recovery ticket after about 2 weeks they replied that everything was fine and that there was no access to my account... yesterday I got a permanent ban for unauthorized software and manipulation of game data and they didn't allowed me to disconnect battlenet account
that wasnt mine was linked to my activision account
I understand that I am responsible for my account but I did everything I could to prevent it and I still got banned and they wont unban people like me
How did you got hacked? Crack/Pirated games? Clicked on Scam links? Clicked on Scam Emails?

You have to literally walk on eggshells in this game. I got a ban warning for minor trash talk for using my mic without profanity lol. There also isn't a theater mode to prove your innocence (like the old games) if you pop off and wreck the opposing team with a solid game. People can just report you out of bitterness and get you in trouble.

They do see gameplay all gameplay and audio and text is recorded. We gamers can't see footage of our games though.

They took theater mode away long time ago because of modders and other reasons.
they took alot of stuff away because of the community
