So You Were Banned Here is Some Steps You Can Try
So you were banned... here is some steps you can do to help yourself get unbanned

You can be ban for glitching if reported. Even if you think the glitch isn't serious it doesn't matter. You did a glitch got reported and they ban you.

Or you violated something in the Security Enforcement Policy

Read the security enforcement policy https://support.activision.com/articles/call-of-duty-security-and-enforcement-policy

You can appeal a ban by using the appeal ban feature and do contact activision step.

To contact Activision
choose mw3 then gameplay then crashes then click create a support ticket. https://support.activision.com/options?

To Appeal a ban
https://support.activision.com/ban-appeal

Bans are not instant if you cheated in the past it finally caught up to you when they reviewed you.

If you believe your innocent do the appeal a ban step then contact Activision step.

If you do the contact Activision step they can tell you why you were banned if you ask them

You may have to repeat your self.

Check your account at callofduty.com and Activision.com and make sure there is no account linked that you didn't linked.

Always have two step verification on for Activision account after your unban make sure to turn it on.

If you believe your account is compromised submit a activision Account Recovery Request here https://support.activision.com/account-recovery

Temporary bans and accounts in a limited matchmaking state cannot be appealed.

Check ban appeal if your account is under review then your Shadow banned

A shadow ban is a temporary limit on your account that restricts your matchmaking and lobby experiences. It's a penalty for violating the game's terms of service, code of conduct, or anti-cheat policies. This ban will be removed when they done reviewing.

Remember to always be respectful and polite when talking to Activision.

You can be ban for voice chat and text chat.

Also after being unban or ban scan for viruses on your PC to make sure you don't have a virus.

If you have proof that your account was compromised screenshot it and tell activision you have proof and want to know how to send it to you then do what they say.

If your account was compromised then later you receive a ban contact Activision and do recovery account step. If ban was issued because of the compromised account they should unban you. Also as soon as you know your account is compromised contact them and once your account isn't compromised ask them about what if I get a ban because my account was compromised what do I do.

If you were unban by activision but not unban on valves side for steam. Screenshot what activision said and contact Activision about it and screenshot it then contact valve and send it to them then screenshot what they say and send it to activision. If valve refuses to unban you.

Also do not say I modded or hack or I'm a modder in game whether by text or voice. No one knows if your telling the truth or not. Don't do it and someone will report you.

For those who are afraid to use voice chat read this
https://www.callofduty.com/values

"Treat Everyone with Respect

We do not tolerate bullying or harassment, including derogatory comments based on race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, culture, faith, mental or physical abilities, or country of origin, or the amplification of any person, agenda, or movement that promotes discrimination or violence based on the above.

All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect.

Communication with others, whether using text or voice chat, must be free of offensive or harmful language. Hate speech and discriminatory language is offensive and unacceptable, as is harassment and threatening another player.

The updated Code of Conduct language can be found at CallofDuty.com/Values. This change will also be reflected in-game, though truncated due to character limitations, after a title update at a later date.

Moderation Findings

Prior to the launch of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III, we introduced a new voice moderation system in North America (English only) as part of a rolling beta. When Modern Warfare III launched, our voice moderation system expanded globally (excluding Asia) and added Spanish and Portuguese moderation. English, Spanish, and Portuguese voice moderation is active worldwide, excluding Asia. Voice moderation is online in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II, Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty®: Warzone™.

We were able to identify several trends that have helped evolve our approach and methodology on moderation during the voice moderation beta period in North America – beginning August 30, 2023 – and into the global launch of Modern Warfare III.

Voice Moderation Enforcement: More than 2 million accounts have seen in-game enforcement for disruptive voice chat, based on the Call of Duty Code of Conduct.

For disruptive behavior found by our voice moderation, only 1 in 5 users reported the behavior, showing an unfortunate trend that players often do not report in-game instances to our Disruptive Behavior team. In cases that go unreported, our voice moderation system allows us to take action against players that violate the Code of Conduct. Active reporting is still critical so that players can raise any negative situation they encounter.

To encourage more reporting, we’ve rolled out messages that thank players for reporting and in the future, we're looking to provide additional feedback to players when we act on their reports.

Our voice moderation and reporting, combined with username and text chat moderation, provide our players with both proactive and reactive protection against disruptive behavior.

Reduction in Repeat Offenders: Examining month-over-month data, Call of Duty saw an 8% reduction of repeat offenders since the rollout of in-game voice chat moderation.
Anyone detected to have violated the Code of Conduct will receive actions such as globally muting from voice and text chat and/or restricting other social features. Repeat offenders are restricted further, muting them from communication in both voice and text channels within Call of Duty HQ.

Reduction to Toxic Voice Chat Exposure: Call of Duty saw a ~50% reduction in players exposed to severe instances of disruptive voice chat since Modern Warfare III’s launch.

When our voice moderation system detects a violation of the Call of Duty Code of Conduct which results in global voice chat restrictions, players are muted globally.

Our tools will continue to evolve and expand over time, including the addition of new languages to our voice moderation system in future updates.

Call of Duty is dedicated to combating toxicity within our games and will empower our teams to deploy and evolve our moderation technology to fight disruptive behavior, whether it be via voice or text chat. We understand this is ongoing work, but we are committed to working with our community to make sure Call of Duty is fair and fun for all. "

"Activision ID accounts permanently banned from previous Call of Duty titles starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty console and PC titles released thereafter as well as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile may not be eligible to play Black Ops 6, per the existing Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy.

Battle.net accounts that have been permanently banned from Modern Warfare III, Modern Warfare II, or Warzone will not be eligible to purchase Black Ops 6 from the Blizzard Digital Store. Players may have the ability to purchase Black Ops 6 digitally on Xbox and PlayStation, as well as on Microsoft Store and Steam; however, permanently banned accounts will not be eligible to play online modes in Black Ops 6 in those versions." Hi Weasel
I've been keeping an eye on the forums over the past few days as I was falsely banned and I'd just like to say a huge thanks to you. I think you might be the only one who hasn't judged or assumed that we are crying cheaters, and you are certainly the only one who has offered help and support. So, a huge thank you.
You're a superstar.

The same thing happened to me. I'm requesting a refund rn, but I am NEVER getting anything from Activision again and i'm deleting my Blizzard account too. I want nothing to do with this company anymore. The Activision we grew up with is dead.

Unlinking the Activision account doesn't move that lock sign in the profile?

You have to do the recovery and if it was indeed caused by that they would. Tell them you want unban because someone hacked you and linked a unknown account to your Activision account which caused the ban.

You also should do the contact activision step and let them know you did the recovery step and you want unban because someone linked a unknown account to your activision account.
I did what you wrote, I sent an appeal ban request but they replied that the ban is permanent and irreversible, unfortunately I have no option to contact them otherwise, I can't appeal a ban twice
Generally, I have ''proof'' in the form of emails that as soon as I received the information
that someone linked my activision account with unknown battlenet account I changed my password and sent an account recovery request
They didn't do anything about it like I wrote before ''2 weeks later they replied that everything was fine and that there was no einforcment at my account'' after that I was able to unlink that battlnet account couple weeks later i got ban...

Not sure what you mean. Can you not sign in?
I mean, unlinking Activision from Steam, doesn't that eliminate the game blocked message in the profile?

I don't think that if you had a connected account with Steam, the ban is also granted on this platform to your Steam account but im not 100% sure of that

Game bans go to steam when valve gets message from game developers. I do not think they send game bans that are temporary to valve though if they do it would be removed whenever the temporary ban is removed. I don't think they do that to Playstation or Xbox either so I doubt they send game bans to valve if it only temporary.
