is there anyway to contact support about a false name report? what should I do?
My name on activision is currently 名も無き#8379512 apparently I got reported and somehow it went through and said
"account name warning"
Reasons: username - offensive "your account violates our code of conduct"

you get the gist of it, literally how did a f**king report about my name go through, last time I checked having the name Namonaki in japanese isn't against the code of conduct, should I actually change my name or should I ignore it?

I can't possibly get my account suspended over something so dumb right?

name is literally nothing bad, but activision is so funny they don't even have a proper way to contact them directly, what should I do in this situation? I'm currently on hardcore with my bf atm of typing this so I'm just hoping someone may have an answer

To contact Activision
choose mw3 then gameplay then crashes then click create a support ticket. https://support.activision.com/options?

Also it doesn't matter what your current name is if your old name got reported you will still receive a warning or ban.

my question is though, don't they have any way to let me counter it? the name is literally not offensive, it's just nameless in japanese, why would a report like that go through to begin with?

All reports go through and they review it. Do the contact Activision step if you believe the name is okay. But it could be you had a name before that one which was reported. You can't hide your identity by changing your Activision name to get a new Activision number if reported they will still see your old name and whatever else you did.

Once you contact Activision about it provide screenshot of email, message to them. Then wait for their reply. You will have to repeat your self sometimes.

You can either wait for their response which you may have to repeat your self or change the name. You get a token each six months to change your name. If you do not have a token you can ask them for one to change the name.

I appreciate the helpful response, like actually thank you, I decided to skip myself the headache and just change my name, my 2 previous names were Caramelitas and Zeta Queen so I'm pretty positive it wasn't either of those, but I appreciate it

may be i'm wrong but your name can be issues with trademarks & copyright
this is why you get the warning message from Activision

Even though you changed the name you can still contact Activision about it and save whatever they say.

I do need a little help since I did what you said but I didn't quite get to a support form, is there any video or anything of the sort? I'm still a little lost on how to actually get to the support form

Here's to hearing what they have to say, I wouldn't be surprised if it was somehow mistakenly flagged by some illiterate who can't make a simple google search.

Only thing I can find about their name rules are 2 - 16 characters, with no special characters. Unicode characters are accepted.

However they do have

"Depending on which Product and platform or Device you are using, your username on the platform may be your username in the Activision account. Additionally, some Activision accounts may allow users to form different "clans", "squads", "teams", or other groups (collectively "groups") with unique group names. When you choose a username or a group name, or otherwise create a label that can be seen by other users, you must abide by the following guidelines as well as the rules of common decency. If Activision finds such a name to be offensive or improper, it may, in its sole and absolute discretion, change or remove the name, and/or suspend or terminate your use of the service and, if you are a resident outside North America, apply additional consequences set out in Section 14(B)(ii). In particular, you may not use any name:

ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

iii. Belonging to any religious figure or deity;

iv. Related to drugs, sex, alcohol, or criminal activity;

v. That is subject to the rights of any other person or entity without written authorization from that person or entity;

vi. That belongs or refers to a popular culture figure, celebrity, media personality, icon or persona;

vii. That is, contains, or is substantially similar to a trademark or service mark, whether registered or not.

You may not use a misspelling or an alternative spelling to circumvent the name restrictions listed above, nor can you have a "first" and "last" name that, when combined, violate the above name restrictions.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for all use of your account. You must notify Activision immediately of any unauthorized use of your username, password, account information, or any other breach of security that you become aware of relating to your Account. Such notification should be made via the Customer Support web page at www.support.activision.com

Just remember to repeat your self it easier if you just copy and then repaste because sometimes they don't read it and think you have a issue with something else when they reply.
