Invite to party always locked off?

I've been experiencing this for like a month now and even if the party is open, when I go to invite someone it's ALWAYS locked off. Any ideas on why this is happening? It's starting to drive me nuts.

The servers lag and don't sync. Wait for a minute or 2 and it will unlock.

Never had this issue before is your friend playing on steam aswell or are u trying to invite him through the ingame system?

I think they're usually on different platforms, but for some reason it's always locked fo rme even if the party is set to open. I just have to tell them to join.

try to invite someone through steam n see if that works if it doesnt then idk
