Is anyone experiencing extreme lag?
I have very low ping, excellent internet, unlimited bandwidth with high speeds, my drivers are up to date, my settings are balanced on a high end rig, but i cannot seem to stop lagging over the last two weeks. I keep getting packet burst, is this associated with my internet or the cod servers?

I still drop 15-20 kills per search game even with the lag, but it does seem punishing lol

Activision should install more servers in other regions. less connection/server saturation

Having the same exact issue. Tech said it could be something on their end but didn't know for sure. My equipment all checks out he said but he wanted me to find out what ISP you might use and your approx area. We found the NY/jersey area had a lot of issue with packet variation I,E. Jitter or packet lag in our testing and i think COD issues that area for it server hosting

Yeah I'm getting ridiculous amounts of packet burst that like...freezes that game kinda like a lag switch would back in the days. My internet connection is fine. 250 mb/s down, 11 up. Idk what the ♥♥♥♥ the issue is

It's a server problem on their side, not ours.

Even with gigabit fibre, and an average 10-15 MS ping, it still lags a LOT sometimes, maxing out at 999 occasionally.
Couldn't even call it a lerp issue, it's just straight ping.

Wild how in three days this still hasn't been fixed. Multi billion dollar company and their servers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. What a disgrace. This seems to happen every damn time season 3 for a current game comes out. I remember last year MW2 wasn't laggy, and then season 3 hit and packet burst and lag out the ass since.

Also to get off topic a lil bit. They can go ahead and nerf tf out of those akimbo lockwood mk2's at any time. Just as bad if not worse than the unpatched model 1800 akimbos from OG MW2. Cannot stand cheesy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It's 100% them and not your connection. Ever since they improved match making it started happening more and more as you basically sometimes get pushed to far away ♥♥♥♥ servers. Have the ingame latency and packet burst up and if you join a match where its high just quit out and find a better. You could prove its not you by measuring latency and packet drops to something else like a speed test server at the same time. You'd think with all the money they make from us they could spin up some more servers

I wouldn't even say it's getting pushed to far away ♥♥♥♥ servers. I'll get in a match and have 25-55 ping like normal before this update, but at random times it's just the most intense lag spike like as if someone turned a lag switch on. I hope they don't consider this an "improvement" cause Christ is it atrocious. And yeah, you'd think, but Activision is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Can't even give us 60hz servers, always some 20hz aids.

For me its pretty consistent you see - I either find myself on good sub 15ms sometimes even 3ms servers with no packet loss all match, real tight feels good - or I join a match and the latency is over 30 and I then get a laggy game with packet burst warnings popping up all the time. If its happening in waves and your connection to other things like a speed test server in same region is fine, then just ♥♥♥♥ servers indeed and shame on them sitting on their profits knowing exactly what's going on and just hope customer support manage to bluff everyone away for as long as possible
