Call of duty has caused videos on second monitor to become very laggy when playing any game on main monitor.
Yesterday i wanted to play call of duty and it had an update, so i updated it and opened it. After going onto multiplayer, the game felt noticeably slower than it should be. I opened chrome to look for a fix and chrome was very slow and laggy aswell, even closing it was. Also, windows itself was quite laggy and took a while to close chrome and go back onto call of duty. Also, the game had noticeable stutters from time to time as well while actually playing matches on it. After all of this, i thought that maybe there was a new graphics card driver i needed to install. And there was, so i installed it. This changed absolutley nothing, and the game was still slow, and so was chrome and windows while it was open. I eventaully decided to reset the graphics settings on call of duty itself, which seemed to fix the slowness on the game and chrome. So i thought i had resolved the issue completely, so i put a youtube video on my second monitor while playing the game (i do this normally and there are no issues with it at all), but when i cliked back onto call of duty, the video became VERY laggy and automatically put istelf to the lowest resolution possible. The same aslo happens with the videos on spotify. So i thought that maybe its just a bug with call of duty and it will get fixed in the next update. So i loaded up another game (Rocket League) and the same was now happening while rocket league was open, so somehow this is happening with multiple games, not just call of duty. I tried scanning for a virus but it found nothing, i tried restarting my pc - nothing. So i tried scanning for corrupted files using SFC /scannow, it did find some corrupted files, so i repaired those. But that did nothing, so clearly those files were unrelated. I saw somewhere that turning off hardware acceleration in chrome can fix it, which it did, for the YouTube videos, but not for Spotify (because i am using the spotify dedicated app), But i shouldn't have to turn this feature off because i have never had to before, videos ran just fine on my second monitor no matter what i was playing or doing. So clearly there is something wrong with my pc now.

Look if windows is putting your chrome in efficency mode, this happened to me while ago with brave, they update it and solved it, between they fixed i was fixing manually with a custom shortcut. Just google it around and find the solution is easy if you see that in task monitor.
