Where does it say what type of ammo a tracer can apply to?
I saw a reddit thread saying Coin Feeder MTZ interceptor tracer rounds are tied to high grain ammo..

I see zero mention of this in the store, what am I missing?

What do you mean? This has been a thing since forever?

You can't use a weapon skin/item off a weapon it's not attached too, in this case it's attached to the item for ammo, meaning you cannot use it outside of the high grain 7.62.

It WILL NOT apply to ANYTHING other than THAT item.

I am aware. I am asking how I am meant to know which ammo type it can be used on BEFORE buying it.

Ohh I see, basically your best bet is to check it instore, see the attachment list. It states exactly what and where.
Bruh I have the store open right now and am staring at the tracer, it just says "tracer/impact: arcade CRT Tracers".
Nowhere does it mention the ammo type, at least that I can see
What drives me nuts is why can't we just go to our bullets and then skins and then it shows the tracers/death affects we can buy for it? I have to hope some random made a google spreadsheet? (which I cant find).

Do they not want my money?
Also, some tracers/death affects are tied to the gun blueprint and not the ammo and we just have to buy it to find out which?????????

Whatchu mean? it literally states it right here https://www.gamesatlas.com/images/cod-modern-warfare-3/blueprints/Coin-Feeder.jpg
The owner of this website does not allow hotlinking to that resource (/images/cod-modern-warfare-3/blueprints/Coin-Feeder.jpg).

I just opened it fine???? either way it literally shows the picture of the gun in the store stating "AMMO 7.62 HIGHGRAIN" listed in the attachments.
Oh weird it does show the ammo type for the mtz if you press 3 when clicking the mtz in the store, the other gun doesnt have a weapon type so I assume its just for that blueprint. I still don't know if I can just use the bluerprint for the mtz and that will give the effect or only the ammo type will carry it over, im guessing only the ammo type and the rival 9 just uses the blueprint.

But yeah cheers now I know how to manually check ammo type

My mission is not yet over my friend, now I need to find some list of the ammo type i like and which effect works for them lol.

Oh and side note, the coin package is the only item in the store that applies the effect to the ammo and not the gun blueprint for the mtz, which is cool because it gives me 3 tracer options off the bat not including any tracer packages I (somehow) find that can work with my ammo type
Oh I guess I can manually do this, by working out which guns use the same ammo type and then seeing which packs I can buy for them and then seeing if they have the ammo type I want with the skin.

jeez
And the answer is... There is no others! Epic waste of time gg

seems you have it figured out but just to make it clear for others who come across this thread.

when buying a pack with tracers/ death effects, inspect the weapons from the pack, if ANY ammo type is attached to the ammo slot then any other gun that uses that same ammo type can have those tracers applied. if the blueprint(s) do NOT list an ammo type change, then the effects are tied to the blueprint itself. if its part of the blueprint then the effect will be present on that specific version as long as you dont change the ammo type.
