Crashing On Startup - No Common Fixes Seem to Work!!
Upon clicking play, I get the little Call of Duty intro that plays and then the usual grey background loading screen with the MW3 logo on it. In the next 10 to 20 seconds, the game crashes to desktop with no crash reporter or anything.

I tried to use "dx11" in the launch options and for about 3 minutes, the game worked and I could even get to the settings and change the sound/graphics before it crashed again. Now even with the same launch options as when it worked, its back to crashing basically instantly.

I've repaired the game, reinstalled C++, ran as admin, changed compatibility options, changed 3D settings under NVidia config, repaired the drive it's installed on and still no change yet.

Any thoughts? I'm so confused by this.

i think i figured out your issue, after reading these guys comments...you wanna redownload rewasd and then uninstall is from the control panel and make sure you click the box that says take off config. my game started working immediately.

I didn't say it was. I'm looking for help to get the game running, let alone play matches.

i did this that sorta fixed my problems... i still crash just not as frequent.. GO INTO YOUR BIOS.. and turn OFF XMP.

are you using a i9 processor/ RTX 40 Series GPU?

are you using a i9 processor/ RTX 40 Series GPU?

i9 and a 30 series

ive got some bad news for you, ive had this same issue for about a month now i have tried absolutely everything and the game still crashes after 20 seconds on loading.

i have this same issue just crashes right after start up crashes steam with nothing already un installed and installed again verified integrity etc same issue for about two weeks

Wanted to post here since i found something that worked for me on Reddit. I just bought the game and 30 seconds in when hitting accept I kept crashing. "ReWASD" was the program that needed to be uninstalled. It wasn't even running. I used it for a 64 Emulator a year ago. Weird but try it if you have it installed.

Edit: Said yes to all config and profile removal when I uninstalled

where do i go to uninstall? idek if i have it or not

This gets me about an extra 30 seconds in game before it crashes, so progress is progress, i guess. I have a suspicion its something to do with the shaders that it's trying to pre-load

Nope, it crashes even faster now that the shaders are loaded. I have no idea what to even try. I may just refund this.
